Like many other video games in the vertical, Fortnite offers many ways to supplement a player's survival in a match. Being the last person standing, a player can employ many in-game features like quick healing, revealing the next storm circle, and much more.

However, players need to spend gold bars to avail of these services. Gold bars are Fortnite's in-game currency that can only be used during a BR match. Players can use gold bars to hire NPCs, upgrade weapons and acquire other utility items.

While gold bars can be harvested and collected within the game, they are capped at 5000. Since players have so many options to spend gold bars on, there remains a forever deficit. This often prompts them to ask where they can find most gold bars in Fortnite.

Most gold in Fortnite can be found in and near Chrome Crossroads and Tilted Towers

While there is no certain answer to this, one can earmark locations and POIs with a profusion of chests, vaults, and cash registers. Gold bars spawn in floor loot for the unversed and can be found in cash registers, chests, and vaults across the Fortnite map. Players can also collect them by breaking furniture like beds, sofas, and chairs.

To determine a location with the most gold bars, one needs to analyze and consolidate the spawn pattern of items like vaults and cash registers. Players can refer to the following guide to arrive at a decision:

Vaults

Located all over the island, vaults bear considerable loot and currency. However, from Chapter 3 Season 4 onwards, vaults require keys. Players need to use either one or two keys to open vaults. While these are located all over the map, upon close inspection, one can infer that vaults occur in a cluster at the center of the map.

Chrome Crossroads and Tilted Towers are two well-connected POIs with eight different vaults in close vicinity. However, 5 of these are high-security (two-key) vaults.

Cash registers

As the name suggests, cash registers store currency and can be found across the map. Players can pry them open by interacting with them. Certain areas on the map have a profusion of cash registers. Cloudy Condos has 12. Greasy Grove has 8. Tilted Towers has 8, Chrome Crossroads has six, and Sleepy Sounds has 10.

Unlike vaults, cash registers spawn sparsely. One can infer from the aforementioned data that most of these are located in the southwest quadrant of the Fortnite map.

Safes

Safes in Fortnite only contain gold bars and spawn scantly. Safes can also be found inside vaults. Tilted Towers has 12 safes, Chrome Crossroads has nine safes, Rave Cave has 10 safes, and Lustrous Lagoon has seven safes. While every major POI and landmark on the map have safes, they are concentrated in these few locations.

Building upon the spawn data of safes, vaults, and cash registers, it can be concluded that Tilted Towers and Chrome Crossroads are the best locations on the map where players can find the most gold.
