Dune Awakening is an upcoming third-person survival game set to release on multiple platforms such as Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Linux. While the game is currently available in certain regions on advanced access, it will only launch globally on June 10, 2025.

The game looks absolutely stunning on the RTX 3080. The GPU comes in both 10 GB and 12 GB VRAM variants, and the provided settings perform well on both, with the latter having a slight, obvious advantage.

We've opted for a mix of Medium and High settings at a 1080p resolution. This offers a good balance of visual quality and performance, which is further bolstered by Nvidia DLSS set to Balanced mode. The latter setting also lowers Resolution Scaling, but that can be increased using the Override Upscaling Preset.

The game performs even better on the RTX 3080 Ti. It can comfortably run the game at 1080p with some High and Ultra graphics settings. There isn't a huge visual difference in the Shadow settings, so we recommend keeping it High.

Here, we've set DLSS to Quality mode for a decent performance boost while still prioritizing visual quality. We recommend enabling VSync only if you don't own a monitor with AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync support.
