In 2016 at the Rio Summer Olympics, Henrik Stenson, a Swedish pro golfer, won the Silver medal. He defeated Matt Kuchar from the USA, and unfortunately, after a play, he lost to Justin Rose from Great Britain, securing him the silver medal. Besides being an Olympic win, Henrik Stenson is a celebrated golfer on the LIV Golf tour. Stenson was born on 5th April 1976; he is a Swedish professional golfer who is famous and known for breaking records! For instance, he is the first golfer from Sweden to win at the Olympics and the first male Nordic champion to win the Open Championship in 2016.

He secured several wins after becoming a professional in 1998. He went on to win the Challenge Tour money rankings in 2000 and became first in the European Tour event in 2001. With his impressive game, it was not a surprise that he reached the top 20 in 2006 in no time.

Stenson won the World Golf Championship in 2007, again becoming the first-ever Swede to do so. Moving on in 2009, he won the Players Championship, reaching the career-high world ranking of fourth! Later, in 2013, he reached even bigger heights by winning both the European Tour Race in Dubai and the FedEx Cup, both of which are extremely challenging, and golfers only dream of winning them in the same year!

2016 was about the Olympics; he secured a silver medal there after competing extremely difficult against the world's best players. He soon moved on to lead the European team at the Ryder Cup and also had a personal win at the Wyndham Championship in 2017, both in the same year!
