Season 2 winners U Mumba rediscovered themselves through this encounter with the Bengaluru Bulls at Kolkata. Having lost 2of their 4 matches, Anup Kumar's men rejuvenated themselves through this match, which acted as a springboard for them for the rest of the tournament.

The powerful Bulls, led by Surjeet Narwal, were cruising 21-10 at the interval, but the match was far from done. Rakesh Kumar and Rishank Devadiga joined forces to tighten both the defensive and the attacking units and the mind-boggling comeback began after the break.
