Bengal Warriors clinched their maiden title against Dabang Delhi K.C. with a 39-34 win in the summit clash of Pro Kabaddi 2019 held at EKA Arena by TransStadia, Ahmedabad, courtesy of Mohammad Nabibakhsh's nine raid points.

Dabang Delhi K.C. had defeated Bengaluru Bulls (44-38), while Bengal Warriors clinched a close-fought victory over U Mumba (37-35) in the semi-finals.

It was a memorable season with many of the earlier records being broken by players and teams. Pardeep Narwal got past 1000 raid points to become the only player to do so. On the other hand, Tamil Thalaivas had a forgettable season with 14 consecutive losses to their name.

Let us now take a look at the top 5 records that got broken this season.

Suraj Desai became the debutant with the highest raid points in Pro Kabaddi in Match 8 of Season 7. He scored 18 raid points in 15 attempts against Dabang Delhi without getting tackled once. He broke his younger brother, Siddharth's record of 15 raid points, who made his Pro Kabaddi debut in Season 6 against Puneri Paltan.

Suraj opened his account with a 2-pointer against Dabang Delhi on Day 4 of the Hyderabad leg. The Titans were desperate for a win as they had lost their earlier two games. Both Siddharth and Suraj went berserk as a 4-pointer raid from Suraj helped them come back into the game.

However, the Titans failed to defeat Dabang Delhi K.C. and ended the match at 33-34. Suraj Desai scored 13 touch points along with five bonus points in his outing.

His sensational performance didn't last long as he could manage only 44 raid points in 12 matches. Telugu Titans lacked a support raider for Siddharth Desai in the entire season as they got eliminated ahead of the playoffs.
