Rohit Sharma (Captain, India): Was a fantastic chase, although we fell short in the end, we've shown the fight and something that I'm proud of and talking about Surya, he's been phenomenal now. I've been watching him for a while now, he's got the wide range of shots, unorthodox but it works, never lets the tempo down, something very interesting for us to get him in the squad and he's grown as a player. We've tried everything we could but hats off to England, they put us under pressure right through, I thought we bowled well in the powerplay, they had good partnerships in the middle which put us on the backfoot, we were up with the chase, we backed ourselves to get it but just didn't come off. We wanted to try out our options, certain guys under pressure can come on top or not, obviously we need to keep working on things, we need to understand where we lack and keep working towards it. So far, things are looking pretty good, we want to be a team, just don't sit on laurels, we want to keep moving forward as a team, try and get better as a team, these sort of games will help us learn a lot.

Jos Buttler (England captain): Yeah good fun. Fantastic game of cricket. I was really pleased with our response with the bat. I thought it was above-par (the score). Unbelievable knock from SKY. It's really difficult, when someone is bowling so well. It was pleasing to see Gleeson back with another performance. JC (Jordan) was good too. We are blessed with a lot of options and a lot of all-rounders. Difficult over by Moeen was keen to bowl. Selfless character. It has been a difficult series. He (Jordan) has bowled some terrific overs and he has reaped the rewards.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been adjudged as a Player of the Series! However, he is not present at the ground.

Reece Topley has been adjudged the Player of the match for his splendid spell of bowling!

Reece Topley: Absolutely will take that, I'm thrilled I got this amongst some great knocks today. I think it's about isolating the ball, some batters are set and some aren't, come up with the plan and restrict them. We've already taken some early wickets, we're not too far away but an unbelievable knock from the Indian side but we just had to believe in ourselves. I'm speechless on some of the shots, I'm in awe some of the shots he's played.

What an exhibition of masterclass batting by Suryakumar Yadav! A blistering century if there was any and the sheer ease with which he went about his business and the belief in his abilities has been sensational! Not many times would you see a batter scoring 117 runs and ending up on the losing side but so has been the case tonight, where SKY just did not get enough support from the other end.

The innings did not begin in the best of fashions for India, with their top-order failing miserably against the might of the English seamers, who were exceptional in the powerplay. Topley was mighty impressive while Gleeson continued his good form with the ball in hand. India were at trouble at 31/3 at the end of the fifth over and from there began the resurgence. SKY and Shreyas Iyer joined hands to stitch together a 119-run partnership which kept India in the game.

However, with Shreyas perished in a bid to improve his strike-rate and from there on, SKY had a new partner every over. England gambled on bowling Moeen Ali in the nineteenth, a move that paid off in the end, with the off-spinner snaring the wicket of Surya, which sealed the deal for the hosts. India do not fall short by too many and perhaps a better start or just some better bowling in the first innings might have seen them whitewash England. Nonetheless, they clinch the series 2-1 and Surya, in all likeliness, has booked his spot in the middle order for the T20 World Cup. Whew! A swashbuckling innings and despite the loss, India will have plenty of positives to take home. Well that's not all folks, stick around for the presentations!
