Avesh Khan is a first-class Indian cricketer who was born on 13 December 1996 and has made a remarkable impact on the Indian cricket at the domestic level. The tall skiddy right-arm pacer has all the ingredients to become a lethal pace bowler in the coming times.
Avesh Khan made his First-class debut against Railways at Delhi on Dec 7-10, 2014 where he picked 2 wickets in the first innings. He was a part of the 2014 under-19 World Cup team in UAE. He figured only in a couple of games in that tournament and got a solitary wicket. Avesh came back strongly in the next under-19 World Cup and was the spearhead of the Indian pace attack. He returned as India’s highest wicket taker with 12 wickets at an average of 15.08. Khan made his List A debut recently against Mumbai at Chennai on Feb 5, 2018.
In 2017, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bought him for Rs. Rs 10 lakhs for 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. After making his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017, Avesh moved to Delhi Capitals for INR 75 lakhs and was retained by the franchise for the IPL 2020. He has only played 8 matches so far and picked up 5 wickets.
Avesh started playing cricket at a very young age under the guidance of his father Ashique Khan who used to play cricket at the local level. His rise to the top has been steady and the 2020 season could be a breakthrough season for him.
