Jos Buttler (Manchester Originals) - " We let a couple of wins slip so we had to win today to get the momentum. Really great win. It was about staying patient and building the partnerships. We managed to get the big runs in the end. Ravindra and Klaasen are high class players. That is the mark of the performance that we have to put up from here on. We had simple plans for the bowlers and we tried to keep up the pressure of the run rate on the batters. Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue complement each other well. Scott Currie has been good. Having Noor is a bonus. Together when we can deliver with the bat and the ball it looks good. The crowd has been brilliant here and it's great to see them enjoying themselves. "
5:08 PM local time (9:38 PM IST): Manchester Originals win by 57 runs with 13 balls to spare!
Jos Buttler 64* (45) | Josh Tongue - 3/21 David Miller 38 (22) | Matthew Potts - 2/39
Yes it was a good wicket to bat on and yes the batters were attacking from ball one, but, the regular fall of wickets right through the innings never helped Northern Superchargers.
And so, Manchester Originals now keep their hopes alive of a top-four finish! Some excellent bowling from Sonny Baker, Josh Tongue and Noor Ahmad sealed the deal for the hosts. Baker finished things off with a hat-trick too!
The Superchargers tried their best but were unable to string together solid partnerships. They lost key wickets at important times which kept stalling their progress.
Tongue bowled some rockets in his spell and mixed them up with the slower ones, clearly making him the best bowler on show today!
Jacob Duffy has been dismissed for 0 runs off 1 balls

17.2 Sonny Baker to Jacob Duffy, CLEANS HIM UP! GAME, SET AND MATCH!!! The Manchester Originals win by 57 runs and Sonny Baker completes an incredible hattrick! It was a searing yorker into the block hole and at the middle stump line. Duffy looked to give himself room and steer it away but he was beaten all ends up as the ball cannoned into the stumps. The Northern Superchargers have been bowled out for 114 from just 87 balls.
On a hat-trick!
Jacob Duffy batting at 11th position
Thomas Lawes has been dismissed for 4 runs off 6 balls
17.1 Sonny Baker to Tom Lawes, OUT! BAKER HAS ONE! It was pace off and full at the stumps. Lawes backed away and heaved it. He couldn't get any timing and holed out to deep mid wicket.
Sonny Baker will bowl his final set of five balls.
So Tongue is done for the day with the ball. He bowled a few rockets for sure and picked up 3 wickets. Easily the best figures of the day!
17.0
16.5 Josh Tongue to Adil Rashid, pace off and into the wicket, angling into the pads. Rashid tucks it past mid wicket for a single.
The speed on this ball was 92 mph!
16.4 Josh Tongue to Adil Rashid, short and pace on at the stumps. This one climbed off the surface and Rashid was beaten for pace.
16.3 Josh Tongue to Tom Lawes, full and outside the line of off stump. Lawes slaps it towards extra cover for a single.
16.2 Josh Tongue to Adil Rashid, length delivery and wide outside off stump. Rashid tries to go over the point region and hits it aerially over short third man for a single.
16.1 Josh Tongue to Adil Rashid, full and straight at the stumps. Rashid backs away and slaps it past extra cover for a couple of runs.
Josh Tongue to bowl his fourth and final set of five balls.
The Superchargers will do better to bat the balls out now. The net run rate is something to take into consideration, so, it makes perfect sense not to get bowled out trying to play shots.
