Since the blocky world of Minecraft offers hundreds of different blocks and items to create almost anything a builder can imagine, many talented players use the game to innovate extremely detailed structures often inspired by historical buildings and places. From the famous Colosseum of Rome to the towering Eiffel Tower in Paris, everything has been recreated in the blocky world.

A Minecraft player, u/Repulsive_Run3238 made a post on the game’s subreddit where talented builders show off their creations. The images featured a temple that was inspired by medieval Greek architecture. With the pillar and the portico, it looked like a compact version of the Pantheon. The original poster mentioned that the colors were inspired by the temples in Assassin's Creed’s Odyssey, a game based in ancient Greece.

The builder also mentioned that they used Excalibur resource pack and Complementary Reimagined shaders. One of the most common questions with posts like these is the shader pack being used in the images.

u/GlitterPopDream jokingly said that even the Greek people could not fend off the temptation to play just a little more Minecraft before bedtime, pointing out how the user must have spent time making the temple. u/Darioexcelsior added that the building looked more like a Roman temple as the Greek architects would add columns everywhere around the temple whereas Romans only did at the front.

u/vwars23 said that the reflection on the water makes the temple look even taller and more impressive. The original poster replied pointing out that using shaders always makes the build look better in every way.

u/The_French_Spy suggested that the Greek temple looks more like a private mausoleum that some rich families would make for their loved ones. The builder added that it does look like the Schliemann Grave in Athens First Cemetery.

Minecraft players have always shown great persistence and immense dedication in building some impressively large and detailed builds in the blocky world. Some of these builds include small cities, towns, and even a fictional country that took a decade to complete.

Not just known structures, such as temples, buildings, etc, but some players have gone the extra mile and also made some truly fascinating builds. A player made Mount Everest at 1:2 scale with many details so viewers could take a virtual hike without a physical trek.

Builds like these show how Minecraft has become more than a simple game. It offers something for everyone. Players who want a peaceful game can just stick to farming and exploring, while brave souls who want to fight challenging enemies can take on mobs, such as the warden, the ender dragon, and the recently added Creaking.
