Minecraft has been pushing a lot of great updates recently, including new mobs, improved items, and unique areas to explore. Naturally, fans were equally excited when the much-awaited bundles were added to the game. Bundles in Minecraft have a similar function to Shulker Boxes but are easier to obtain and by effect, more useful.
The latest snapshot, 24w38a, for the Java edition of the game added another feature that will enhance these storage units even further. Players can now dye the bundles in 16 different colors which makes sorting them much easier and more intuitive. In this article, we will be looking at everything about dyeable bundles.
How to dye bundles in Minecraft
Before we get into the dyeing process, let's find out how these bundles can be crafted. Thankfully, the procedure is quite simple and you will be able to craft it early in your Minecraft journey. Open the crafting table, put in a string, and then put a piece of leather under it to create a bundle.
Once the bundle is ready, it can be dyed using any colored pigments. To do so, you need to place the bundle into the crafting grid and then put in the pigment of choice. This should automatically bring the colored bundle to the output box. Naturally, this also opens up the possibility of color-coded bundles that can be used to stop different materials.
The bundles are a game-changer item and certainly one of the most impactful features to be added to the game recently. For years players have wanted something that allows them to expand the inventory in a better way.
Shulker boxes did the job fine, but they can only be obtained at the end of the game from the End dimension. The other option was using commands and switching to creative mode, both not an option in survival.
Now, having the ability to make bundles early in the game makes traveling easier and more fun. It also improves the experience of deep mining as players do not have to make interim chests to keep their loot. They can also store more items in their inventory which is always a great thing to have.
The ability to make colored bundles allows players to sort their items easily. For example, players can place all Redstone-related items in a red-colored bundle while they can keep all their tools in a blue-colored one. Perhaps in the 1.22 update, Mojang Studios will give us colored chests to make sorting things even easier.
