Dillon Danis shares hilarious Conor McGregor story while hailing the Irishman as "best fighter ever"

Dillon Danis recently shared a video on social media where spoke about the UFC mega-star Conor McGregor.

Danis showered praise on the Irishman and said that training with 'The Notorious' taught him a great deal. According to 'El Jefe,' McGregor's ability to handle pressure was unparalleled and he also narrated a story to support his claim:

"I learned so much, watching him [Conor McGregor] and learning how he deals with certain situations and how calm he is and he's just a different animal... Funny story, it was the night before the [second] Diaz fight... I think he was getting a haircut and I was like, 'Man, I'm not gonna lie. I'm kind of nervous.' He said, 'Why are you nervous?... I'm gonna slap him [Diaz] around.'... He's definitely, in my opinion, the best fighter ever," said Dillon Danis.

McGregor and Danis have been friends and training partners for quite some time. Danis was involved in the UFC 229 brawl where after defeating McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage to attack 'El Jefe,' leading to chaos all around.

Conor McGregor shares his thoughts on Dillon Danis vs. KSI

After being away from action for several years, Dillon Danis is set to make his long-awaited comeback next month. 'El Jefe' will take on YouTuber KSI in a boxing match on January 14th.

Ahead of the fight, Danis made an appearance on Ariel Helwani's 'The MMA Hour' where he was questioned about his friendship with Conor McGregor by the host.

One Twitter user asked the Irishman for his thoughts on the interview. McGregor suggested that he was on good terms with the 29-year-old.

Then KSI entered the conversation and told McGregor that he intended to inflict 'serious damage' on Danis.

'The Notorious' responded by saying that he did not care for the YouTuber. McGregor also opined that Danis should be competing in MMA instead of in a boxing match against KSI.

"Brother you’re a friendly little nerd I don’t care. He should be back doing mma if he is doing this little nothing burger match with you. I couldn’t care less about this genre of boxing, I am sorry. Have a good one."
