Jamahal Hill isn't dwelling on his loss to Alex Pereira. In fact, 'Sweet Dreams' is moving forward by featuring on a Conor McGregor card at UFC 303.

The former light heavyweight champion spoke about asking to feature on UFC 303 instead of main eventing his own card with Khalil Rountree Jr., which would have certainly been a Fight Night headliner as their bout is a non-title fight. According to Hill, it was an easy choice:

"He's just one of those stars in the game. He's the star in the game, you know, that's sending himself to a different level and brought a different atmosphere whenever he fights. I was offered a main event, I was offered to fight Khalil, 'We could do all we can to get you a main event.' It's like nah, the Conor card is right there, it's soon enough and it's good enough. I definitely want that. So, yeah, I turned down a main event to get on this."

The Rountree bout will be one that will certainly draw fan interest, as it will not only be featuring on a McGregor card, but will see Hill return just two months after being knocked out by Pereira at UFC 300. It is a remarkably quick turnaround, but he is nothing if not confident.

Jamahal Hill has only ever been on one pay-per-view headlined by a big star

UFC 303 will be Jamahal Hill's first time taking part in a Conor McGregor card. However, it isn't his first time serving as something of an enhancement fighter for an event headlined by a much bigger star. In fact, he opened UFC 263, which was headlined by Israel Adesanya, one of the sport's biggest stars.

Check out Jamahal Hill's loss to Paul Craig at UFC 263:

While 'The Last Stylebender' faced Marvin Vettori in a rematch, Hill faced light heavyweight grappler, Paul Craig, to whom he lost in stunning fashion. The Scotsman dislocated Hill's elbow with an armbar, before a flurry of unanswered ground-and-pound forced the referee to step in and call the TKO.
