"It's unbelievable" - Paulo Costa slams USADA for turning up at his door at 5 am "again"

Paulo Costa was recently bombarded by USADA agents and woken up at 5 a.m. four times in the past three weeks for drug testing.

'Borrachinha' boasts one of the most impressive physiques in the UFC. The Brazilian has also created a new gimmick around his "secret juice." He has attributed his enormous size and strength to this secret juice. But it's fairly obvious that 'Borrachinha' is joking.

Whether or not Costa is joking seems to have no bearing on how much USADA has been testing the middleweight. According to 'Borrachinha', the anti-doping agency has woken him up two consecutive days in a row at 5 a.m. to collect urine samples.

Paulo Costa took to Twitter to complain about being tested at such an unreasonable hour:

"I cant believe USADA IS HERE at 5 am again!!!! It’s unbelievable"

'Borrachinha' also tweeted the following:

"This is unbelievable. Will they come every single day 5 am here? F**k usada"

Paulo Costa thinks the UFC may be trying to annoy him with the consistent USADA testing at 5 a.m.

Paulo Costa's current UFC contract expires after his next fight, where he will take on former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. The fight is scheduled to take place in February 2023. This means that 'Borrachinha' has mere months left with the UFC before becoming a free agent.

Yesterday, the Brazilian took to Twitter to announce that when his "miserable" UFC contract expires, he will enter the world of boxing.

"My miserable contract with the UFC was up in a few short months. Will expire in time. A new #boxer is coming to town."

Now Paulo Costa has taken to Twitter to post an interesting theory about why he is being tested so much by USADA. 'Borrachinha' feels like it may have something to do with him wanting to leave the UFC when his contract expires.

Costa tweeted the following:

"Good morning with F**k usada in my home. Still f**k dark outside. 5 am for third time in 15 days. What lovely day"

It will be interesting to see how 'Borrachinha' chooses to navigate the next few months. He may feel that he has gained enough exposure by fighting for the UFC and will now seek a bigger payday in the world of boxing. Or, he could be trying to leverage the UFC into an improved contract offer to keep him with the promotion.
