Paulo Henrique Costa, better known as Paulo Borrachinha in his home country of Brazil, is a Brazilian born mixed martial artist who currently competes in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early career

Paulo Costa made his MMA debut in February of 2012 and over the next five years, Costa secured a record of 8-0 with 7 knockouts and 1 submission finish.

The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil

Paulo Costa was chosen as a fighter on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil and in his first fight in the tournament, he defeated José Roberto via submission in the second round. After being chosen by Wanderlei Silva, Costa lost his next fight via split decision to Marcio Alexandre Jr.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

On March 11, 2017, Paulo Costa made his promotional debut against Gareth McLellan and won the fight via first-round TKO, earning Performance of the Night award as well. Costa then followed up with wins over Oluwale Bamgbose, Johny Hendricks, and Uriah Hall in his next three Octagon outings.

At UFC 241, Paulo Costa finally faced fellow Middleweight heavy-hitter Yoel Romero after the bout was initially cancelled for UFC 230. Costa eventually defeated Romero via unanimous decision and also won the Fight of the Night award.
