UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley is no stranger to going viral.

His famous knockout of Impa Kasanganay back in 2020 shook the entire MMA world and ended up garnering more than 65 million views across the internet.

Last night’s event saw Buckley score another highlight reel knockout, as he turned out the lights on Andre Fialho with a violent head kick. However, this time, he seems to have gone viral for a different reason.

Following his big finish, ‘New Mansa’ scaled the octagon fence, and then let out a wild, high-pitched scream that clearly took most observers by surprise.

One such observer was current welterweight contender Kevin Holland. ‘The Trailblazer’ quickly took to his Instagram account to poke fun at Buckley, posting a video of the scream with a humorous caption alongside it:

“I did not teach him that.”

The caption appears to refer to a previous interaction between the two fighters, which saw Holland hit out at ‘New Mansa’ and jokingly refer to him as his “son” Incidentally, Holland’s Instagram post was accompanied by the hashtag #son t.oo.

Thankfully, there doesn’t appear to be any lingering bad blood between Holland and Buckley, at least not based on this Instagram post. ‘New Mansa’ was one of the first people to comment on the post, simply adding a row of laughing emojis in response to ‘The Trailblazer’.

Interestingly, Buckley’s scream wasn’t the only thing sending him viral last night. He also poured a bottle of PRIME energy drink over his head after his win, and then called on Logan Paul to sponsor some of the UFC’s fighters, including him.

Joaquin Buckley vs. Kevin Holland – what happened when they faced off in the octagon?

Joaquin Buckley’s beef with Kevin Holland dates back to their bout in the UFC, which took place in August 2020. The fight was Buckley’s octagon debut.

Despite ‘New Mansa’ coming in with an impressive 10-2 record, he didn’t do well against ‘The Trailblazer’. Holland knocked him out violently in the third round with a perfectly-placed right hand.

The two men did not bury the hatchet after the fight, and interestingly, Holland poked fun at Buckley on his Instagram feed after ‘New Mansa’ was knocked out by Alessio di Chirico in January 2021.

Although the bad blood now seems settled, with both men now fighting at 170lbs, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the UFC book a rematch between them in the future.
