In a recent interview, the two-time Olympic judo champion said:
"I mean, everyone's entitled to their opinion. He gets paid to give his opinions, so fair play to him. I live my life out loud, and so there's a lot of room for people ot have their own thoughts and speculate or comment on my life and my choices. Bu I think that it's important for people to know that I do believe in myself."
Check out Kayla Harrison's response to Demetrious Johnson (14:49):
It is 'Mighty Mouse's' opinion that Harrison is making a mistake in seeking a bout with Nunes, as he feels that her chances of a win are too low to justify the risk.
Kamaru Usman predicts his fight with Joaquin Buckley
In the main event of UFC Atlanta, Kamaru Usman faces Joaquin Buckley in a bout that he hopes will elevate him back into welterweight title contention. When addressing the matchup, he said:
"When you put in the time and you put in that preparation, and when we get in there, we're almost on autopilot to where we shock ourselves. I'm looking to do that. Trust my training, my coaches, and trust myself because I've been here at the mountain top before."
Check out Kamaru Usman's thoughts on facing Joaquin Buckley:
It is a do or die position for Usman, who is on a three-fight losing streak. A fourth consecutive loss would be disastrous, while a win would almost certainly earn Buckley, who is on a six-fight win streak, a title shot.
B.J. Penn's legal woes continue
Once one of the greatest fighters in UFC history, B.J. Penn has been on a downward spiral for quite some time.
Back in late May, he was arrested on charges of physically abusing his family, but he failed to make a required appearance in court after posting bail, leading to another arrest warrant. He has since been re-arrested.
In the wake of his latest arrest, Penn was found to have violated a temporary restraining order filed against him by his mother.
