While progressing towards better equipment in Dune Awakening, you may come across a resource called the Ray Amplifier. It’s an essential crafting material used to make improved cutterays that can farm better minerals required to craft higher tiers of weapons, armor, and more.

This guide will help you locate good farming spots while listing every equipment you can currently craft using the Ray Amplifiers.

The best way to acquire Ray Amplifiers is to loot containers around the Hagga Basin. A good place to start looking is the containers around the CHOMA Mineral Extraction Facilities. Most of them will have this resource.

One problem you may encounter is that many containers are on the ridges. Having a Suspensor Belt equipped to reach these areas is recommended. Another way to obtain Ray Amplifiers is to buy them from Traj Axxari at the Pinnacle Station in Hagga Basin. The vendor usually holds a limited stock.

Ray Amplifiers are a crucial crafting material for various cutterays. Basic equipment like the Buggy Cutteray Mk1 and Mk2 can be acquired early in the game, but can only be used for mining Iron and Carbon.

To acquire materials like Aluminum, Titanium, and Stravidium, you’ll need a better cutteray. Anything above Mk2 will require Ray Amplifiers as crafting material.

In addition to mining tools, Ray Amplifiers are used in a crafting recipe for a Unique weapon, Arhun K-28 Lasgun. A schematic for this weapon can be acquired from the end chest of the Eco Labs.

Why do you need a good cutteray?

As mentioned earlier, you can farm better materials with better cutterays. Dune Awakening is a survival game, and like any other game in the genre, the progression is layered. You must craft basic items to acquire resources for crafting better items.

Each cutteray can farm a resource to make a better one. The benefit you get is that a higher rank cutteray can gather all the resources from previous tiers. Titanium and Stravidium are used to create Plastanium Ingot, but the materials can only be acquired using Cutteray Mk5 or higher.
