The Division 2 is an online action role-playing game set in an open world where you take on the role of an agent of a secret organization, which is tasked with restoring order to a pandemic-affected Washington D.C. The title offers a cooperative and competitive experience with varied and challenging missions, activities, loot, and enemies.
Although The Division 2 was released some time ago, it has received several updates that have expanded its content and story. However, one feature that remains constant is specialization. If you still can't decide which one to choose, here's our tier list on the subject.

All The Division 2 specializations arranged by tier
The Division 2 has specializations. To get them, you must first reach level 30. From that moment on, you can choose your favorite specialization according to the skills that best fit you.
There are six variations of this feature, and each one unlocks an exclusive weapon, unique skills, and other benefits. Each specialization can be upgraded through activities and exchanged for another as often as the player wishes.
The specializations available in the game are:
- Technician
- Survivalist
- Sniper
- Demolitionist
- Firewall
- Gunner.
For our tier list, we have chosen classes like S, A, and B, as there are no lower-class skills due to the limited number of specializations available.
The following factors were taken into account for this list:
- Damage caused by the character
- Health and stamina
- Quality of unlocked weapons
S Tier
The Division 2 specializations in the S tier are the ones that offer the most complete gameplay experience. They are builds with good weapons, high resistance, and good adaptability to almost any gear:
- Technician
- Firewall
Those who equip Firewall will be able to unleash hell thanks to the flamethrower they unlock. Enemies will have a hard time resisting their attacks, even if they outnumber the protagonist and his squad.
The Technician is one of the most useful specializations, as he has great skill with electronic equipment and a rocket launcher that can send projectiles after specific targets.
A Tier
In the A Tier are three of The Division 2 specializations, whose primary purpose is to support the team. While all three are decent choices, they do not measure up to those in the previous tier in terms of effect and performance:
- Survivalist
- Sniper
- Demolitionist
The Survivalist is on this list because it is essential to have a support character on every team. This build allows you to be adept with weapons such as bows and arrows, as well as explosives.
Other characters in this category are the Sharpshooter, for its effectiveness in inflicting headshots on enemies, and the Demolitionist, which is very useful thanks to its use of grenades, which can keep any enemy at bay from a distance.
B Tier
This specialization is in this position primarily because it lacks some advantages that the rest of its teammates have:
- Gunner
The main problem with the Gunner build is that it requires some stat buffs and complementary skills. If you only wanted to access the features of this Specialization, you would be very limited because it is a build that is completely dependent on elements that can be acquired throughout the game.
