Geoff Bodine is a former professional stock car racing driver. He hails from Chemung, New York in the United States and was born on April 18th, 1949. Bodine is an accomplished driver who previously participated in the NASCAR Cup Series. He never won a championship in the Cup Series but his best finish in the sport was third in the driver standings. Bodine is a legendary driver in NASCAR’s modified series. He was a racing enthusiast ever since a young age. Bodine even disguised himself as a lady to race in an event for women only when he was merely 15 years old.

Geoff Bodine is a NASCAR veteran. He was included in the list of 50 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR and later on added to the list of 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR in 2023. Bodine is a world record holder in motorsports. He has his etched name in the Guinness Book of World Records. Bodine achieved this feat for claiming the most number of wins in one season. He won 55 races in one season in the Modified series. Geoff Bodine has 18 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, including a coveted win at the Daytona 500 race.

Geoff Bodine Contract

Geoff Bodine started his full-time career in NASCAR in 1982 with Bahre Racing and Cliff Stewart Racing. He spent two seasons with Cliff Stewart Racing in 1983 and switched to All-Star Racing for the 1984 season. He achieved his first victory in the Cup Series with All-Star Racing in 1984. Bodine then became a driver for the coveted seat at Hendrick Motorsports. He spent six seasons with Hendrick Motorsports until 1989.

Geoff Bodine achieved his best results in 1985 at Hendrick Motorsports. He did nott win a race but he was still able to claim a fifth place finish in the driver standings in the season. He drove the next two seasons for Junior Johnson & Associates achieving a career best finish of 3rd in the driver standings in 1990. He started racing for his own team after two seasons with Bud Moore Racing. He started driving for Geoff Bodine Racing and raced until 1997. Bodine drove his final full-time season in the Cup Series with Joe Bessey Motorsports.
