Mark Anthony Martin is a former stock car racing driver who hails from Batesville, Arkansas in the United States. He previously raced in the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Mark Martin has been described by ESPN in a unique way. He is known as the “best driver to have never won a championship in NASCAR”. Martin is known for his 5 runner-up finishes in the NASCAR Cup Series but he could never win the title. He is also credited with the second most number of wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Martin is the last driver from the 1950s to win a race in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Mark Martin has been inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2017. He is also named among the 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR in 2023. Martin participated in the Cup Series for 33 years, starting 882 races in the series. He collected 40 wins and 453 Top-10s throughout his racing career. Martin won the Winston, Southern 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 races throughout his career but he could not win the Daytona 500. He has 49 wins and 152 Top-10s in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
