Ned Jarrett is a former professional American racing car driver from Newton, North Carolina. Ned is known for his smooth driving style and gentleman-like attitude, he has made a signification impact in the NASCAR Grand National Series, now called the NASCAR Cup Series. Ned began his NASCAR career in 1953 and rose to prominence with his performances and competitiveness. He has two Grand National Series championships and 50 career wins, including victories like the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Jarrett's dominance and his sportsmanship put him on the radar of NASCAR history.

Jarrett retired from full-time racing in 1966 and became a renowned NASCAR race broadcaster. He has been named one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers and was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011.
