Terry Labonte used to be a professional stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Cup Series. He drove in the Cup Series full-time from 1979 to 2004. Labonte retired as a racing driver from the NASCAR Cup Series in 2014. Labonte is well known in the NASCAR Cup Series as the “Iceman”. He is known for winning two championships in the NASCAR Cup Series. He won the championships in 1984 and 1996 for Hagan Racing and Hendrick Motorsports, respectively. He comes from a racing family. His younger brother Bobby Labonte is a NASCAR Cup Series champion. His father Bob Labonte was a two-time champion in the Xfinity Series as an owner.

Terry Labonte has claimed 22 victories throughout his 37-year career in the NASCAR Cup Series. He started 890 races out of which he achieved top-10s in 361. Labonte is a part of multiple Hall of Fames including the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2016. Labonte is also among the 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR according to their list released in 2023. He is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and was born on November 16, 1956.
