Ryan Preece is from Berlin, Connecticut in the United States. Ryan Preece is a NASCAR Cup Series driver. He drives full-time for Stewart-Haas Racing in their No.41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. Preece is a veteran racer in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He won the championship in the series in 2013 after achieving a second-place finish in 2009 and 2012. He is a three-time World Series of Asphalt Tour-Type Modified Champion having won the series in 2015,2016 and 2017. He has raced in 170 NASCAR races over 6 years in the Cup Series.

Preece made his full-time debut in the Cup Series in 2019. He has achieved 13 Top-10s and won one pole position in the Cup Series as of July 2024. Preece has achieved two Top-10s in the Cup Series 2024 season. He debuted in the Cup Series with JTG Daugherty Racing and switched to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2023. Ryan Preece did not participate full-time in the 2022 Cup Series season. Ryan Preece is married to Heather DesRochers. Ryan Preece was born to Jeff and Jodie Preece in Berlin, Connecticut on October 25, 1990. He was the youngest of three sons in the household. Preece graduated high school in 2009 from Xavier High School. Preece’s racing career began in 2007. He was 32nd in the Northeastern Midget Association Championship racing for Bertrand Team. He finished on the podium for the first time in 2008 at Monadnock. He came third in his only Northeastern Midget race in 2008.

Preece also competed in and won the championship in the SK Modified Series. He won the championship in 2011 at the Stafford Motor Speedway. His future wife Heather DesRochers was also a participant in the series and won the Rookie of the Year award. He made his NASCAR debut in 2013 in the Xfinity Series, which was then known as the Nationwide Series. He drove the no.8 Chevy Camaro for Tommy Baldwin Racing placing 24th at Loudon.
