NFL Playoffs Wild Card Round WR & TE DFS Picks: Puka Nacua, Dallas Goedert and more

The fantasy season is over. Sad, I know. But we can take solace in the fact that props, DFS, and sports betting can get us through the weekend. In my weekly “Drake’s Darts” column, I’ll look at my favorite plays on the weekend. Some could be in prop form. Others in daily fantasy.

This article will focus on the plays at WR/TE, but be sure to look for the QB/RB plays on Sportskeeda.

The props listed come from Prize Picks, and the DFS scoring is from DraftKings.

NFL Wild Card DFS Picks: WRs

Amari Cooper (Browns) $6800

Welcome back, Mr. Cooper. After taking off two weeks for a heel issue, he returns to face a Texans team he torched in Week 16 for 265 yards and 11 catches. His five-catch prop might get hit in the first quarter. Expect Joe Flacco to pepper his favorite wideout with targets just as he’s done since taking over the job. Cooper’s target numbers since Week 14 are 14, 8, and 15. Take the over on everything that relates to Cooper.

Puka Nacua (Rams) $7200

My vote for Offensive Rookie of the Year goes to Nacua, who set records on his way to becoming an every-week fantasy stud. Now we’re seeing a receiving prop of 76.5 vs Detroit, and we’re going to be scared off? Never. This kid is a big play waiting to happen. Under the dome vs. a Lions defense that allows the third most points to opposing WRs, I’m not shying away from Nacua. This game has shootout written all over it. Give me his yards and TD prop. I’d have him in every playoff lineup as well, where you can only use a player once. I’d suspect the Rams to lose, but Nacua will put up top 5 WR numbers regardless.

Mike Evans (Bucs) $6900

Take his anytime touchdown prop. I’d also smash his 68.5-yard receiving prop. Big Mike has averaged over 73 yards per game on the season, and he’s facing an Eagles defense that could be down multiple safeties. Philly’s corners are slow and won’t challenge a physical receiver like Evans, especially in their zone-heavy scheme. I like Evans to go well over his yards and score on Monday Night.

NFL Wild Card DFS Picks: TEs

Dalton Kincaid (Bills) $4600

I love his price for DFS. He’s the sixth most expensive TE on the slate and is coming off back-to-back top-seven PPR finishes at the position. Conditions during the game in Buffalo are expected to be awful. That said, I’m taking over the 33.5-yard receiving prop. We’ve seen the Bills in these types of games before, and they don’t stop throwing the football. Josh Allen has a cannon for an arm and loves to show it off. Kincaid could be the beneficiary of lots of safe throws underneath, and for that, I’m going with the over and a warm cup of hot chocolate to watch this game. BRRRRRRR.

David Njoku (Browns) $5600

Wow. What a difference a quarterback can make for tight-end production. Joe Flacco has unlocked Njoku, who, since Week 14, has three games with a touchdown and two with over 100 yards receiving. We’re talking about four straight top 6 PPR finishes for Njoku (he didn’t play in Week 18). At $500 less than Kelce, and he’s playing in a dome, this is a no-brainer for DFS. His receiving prop sits at 57.5. He’s destroyed that number in three of his last four. The one time he didn’t, though, was against this Texans team. I’m still leaning on Njoku this week in a game that should set the scoreboard a blaze.

Dallas Goedert ($4800)

I don’t love the situation. His team can’t sustain drives, and his quarterback has a broken middle finger. That said, A.J. Brown is doubtful to play and that will open up plenty of targets for Goedert. He’s also facing a Bucs team that was second-worst vs. the TE position on the fantasy season. I think he’s a sneaky play for DFS and playoff leagues because I believe the Eagles will lose this game. In a single-use contest, he’s a fine choice. I’m expecting five catches for 60 yards.
