Pablo Martin Paez Gavira, better known as Gavi, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for the Spain national team and La Liga side FC Barcelona. Gavi is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in Spanish football and is expected to have a bright future in the sport.
Gavi was born on September 23, 2004, in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Spain. He joined the youth academy of FC Barcelona, La Masia, when he was just six years old. He progressed through the ranks of the academy and caught the attention of the coaching staff with his impressive performances.
He was considered one of the top prospects in Barcelona's youth system, and he played for various youth teams, including the Cadete A, Juvenil B, and Juvenil A teams. He was also part of the Barca B team for the 2020-21 season, where he played in the Segunda Division B.

On June 5, 2022, he scored his first senior goal in the Nations League against the Czech Republic, becoming Spain’s youngest-ever goal-scorer. To date, he has made over 18 appearances, scoring three goals.
Gavi became the second-youngest player to make his La Liga debut for FC Barcelona in the 21st century, at the age of 16 years and 308 days, in August 2021.
Gavi is the third youngest player (only behind Pele and Manuel Rosas) to score in a World Cup match.
He is the youngest player to ever represent Spain at senior level, at 17 years of age.
