Glenn Turner: A Brief Biography
Glenn Turner is an Australian field hockey player who is a member of Australia men\'s national field hockey team that won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He is trying to secure a spot with the squad so he can represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Turner is one of the lethal strikers for the Kookaburras. In 2010, he scored his team\'s only goal in game against the Tassie Tigers that his side lost 2-1. In December 2007, he competed in the Dutch Series in Canberra. In 2009, he was a member of the national team during a five game test series in Kuala Lumpur. He represented the country at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and managed to score a goal in the gold medal match against India that Australia won 8-0. Turner was named as one of twenty-eight players to be on the 2012 Summer Olympics Australian men\'s national training squad. The start of the Olympic year saw him score four goals in a game in the international series against China. The Kookaburras will be hoping for him to continue his amazing scoring strike rate which has seen him score 11 goals in his 12 matches in the 2012 season.
