Keegan Bradley’s Early Life and Background

Keegan Bradley, who is a professional golfer of America, was born in Woodstock, Vermont, on June 7, 1986 to Mark Bradley and Kaye Bradley. He was raised in Jupiter, Florida. Keegan is the nephew of LGTA star Pat Bradley. From an early age, he had a curiosity about the game of golf and as a teenager, he chose golf over skiing. In 2004, he competed at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 individual state championships and won successfully during his school days at Hopkinton High School. Later, Keegan won nine collegiate golf events before graduating from St. John's University. Apart from golf, he also has an interest in skiing, baseball, fishing etc.

Keegan Bradley’s Amateur Golf Career

Before turning professional, Keegan Bradley had an amazing golf career as an amateur. He played various golf events on the school's golf team while attending Hopkinton High School. In 2004, he competed at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 individual state championships and won successfully. Apart from this, he won The Tillinghast (2005 and 2006), The Treasure Coast Classic (2007), and The Hawk's Invitational (2008). In 2008, he got his degree in sports management from St. John's University. His notable victories in his amateur career also include his winning at the New England Amateur Championship (2007).

Keegan Bradley’s Professional Career

After completing his college in 2008, Keegan Bradley became a professional golfer and won 12 professional golf tournaments. During his early years, Keegan participated in several mini-golf tour events. He won at The Southern Dunes (2008) and The Texas Honing Open (2009). Keegan earned his first PGA Tour card in 2011 and won at the HP Byron Nelson Championship 2011, which was his first victory on the tour. In 2011, he earned the title, "PGA Tour Rookie of the Year''. Keegan won at the PGA Championship in 2011, which was his first major championship victory. With his impressive skills and techniques, he finished in the top 10 in the U.S. Open (2014) and PGA Championship (2011 and 2012). In his professional career, he has represented the USA thrice in the Riders Cup (2012, 2014 and 2018). As of March 24, 2013, he reached his highest peak of 10th position in the Official World Golf Rankings.

In his early age Keegan chose golf over skiing. During his school days, he used to play several school golf tournaments. He has won the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (2004) as an amateur golfer. During his collegiate years, he won nice golf tournaments and earned the title, "Big East Conference Golfer of the Year" (2007 and 2008).


After turning into a professional golfer in 2008, Keegan played two years on various mini-tours, including the Nationwide Tour and the NGA Hooters Tour. He earned $84,000 for making 22 cuts in 26 events in that season. After qualifying school, he attempted to earn his PGA Tour card in 2010, but failed.


In 2011, Keegan Bradley successfully earned his first PGA Tour card, made the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii and tied for 7th at the Bob Hope Classic. Keegan earned his first PGA Tour card in 2011 and won at the HP Byron Nelson Championship 2011, which was his first victory on the tour. This victory caused him to get an entry in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and finished T-15. After that Keegan Bradley won at the PGA Championship 2011, which was his first major championship victory. This glorious victory moved him from 108th to 29th place in the Official World Golf Ranking.


He won twice during his rookie season and earned the title, "PGA Tour Rookie of the Year''. Then Bradley competed at The Irish Open 2012 but missed the cut. In the same year, he secured his victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (2012), which was his 3rd PGA Tour event. Keegan tied for third at the PGA Championship 2012, reached 12th place in the Official World Golf Ranking and finished 10th on the PGA Tour money list. He then qualified for the Riders Cup 2012.


Keegan faced his worst time in the year 2015 when he competed in 24 events but finished top-10 in only three. In 2016 and 2017, he didn't win any tournaments. But in the 2018 BMW Championship, Bradley showed his best and won successfully. After this success, he secured his victory in various tournaments, including the Zozo Championship (2022) and the Travelers Championship (2023).
