American actress Jada Koren Pinkett Smith left many shocked after she revealed that she was in a relationship with singer August Alsina while being married (yet separated) from husband Will Smith. The Girls Trip actress shared the details of her “entanglement” with Alsina during her Red Table Talk with her husband Smith.

Once the symbol of power, the couple is now questioned on being in an open marriage. This began after singer August Alsina disclosed that he was in a relationship with Jada with the “blessing of Will Smith.” However, Jada Smith was quite fast enough to rubbish the claims made by the then 23 year old singer.

That same year, rumors claimed that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were heading for a divorce. However, the Men In Black actor refuted the rumors and called Pinkett his “queen”. The actress also addressed the rumor by writing, “My king has spoken.” Later in 2017, Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina attended the BET Awards together and made their red carpet debut together. This fueled the dating rumors. However, Smith stuck to her words and introduced Alsina as his “family friend.”

Things took a massive turn for the Smith family in 2020 after August Alsina, who was Jaden’s good friend, had claimed that he and the actress had been in an “adulterous affair in 2016” and that too with Will Smith’s “blessing”.

However, a month later on July 10, during an episode of Red Table Talk featuring her husband Will Smith, the actress confirmed that she and Alsina were in an "entanglement" during her separation period with Will Smith. However, Pinkett cleared that Smith had no idea about the ‘entanglement” and that it was done without his permission or “blessing”.

That month the word “entanglement” was one of the most searched words on Google and Will Smith’s face during the show became the famous Will Smith meme on social media.
