Freida's Facebook post caused unease among Dolly Parton's fans, with many fearing the worst and worrying about her health. For those uninformed, Parton recently postponed her Las Vegas residency due to health issues, adding that her doctors had advised her to undergo a few procedures.

Hours after her initial post, Freida once again took to Facebook to reassure fans that her sister was doing fine, and her health concerns were not "so serious," adding that she was "a little under the weather." According to the BBC, Freida further added that her request for prayers was "nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister," writing:

"I want to clear something up. I didn't mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She's been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference."

In her initial post, Freida wrote about being worried for her sister amid her health issues, writing that Parton wasn't "feeling her best lately." She asked fans to pray for the singer, adding that she knew "in [her] heart she’s [Dolly Parton] going to be just fine."

“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!" she wrote.

In a social media post at the time, Dolly Parton added that she decided to postpone the residency because she would not be able to rehearse for the December shows in her current state, adding that she wanted to put on a good show for her fans.

According to Variety, the Jolene singer also said that her doctors had recommended that she undergo a "few procedures" for her health, joking that it was not her "usual trip" to the plastic surgeon.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!" she wrote.

She continued:

"In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.”

She also reassured fans that she had no plans of "quittin' the business," adding that she was slowing down for a while so she could "be ready for more big adventures" with her fans. Here are the new dates for Dolly Parton's Las Vegas residency:
