The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) season 13 aired its special episode called Teresa Gets Married on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 8 pm ET on Bravo. It documented the days leading upto and the wedding of Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas. Viewers watched the couple share many heartwarming moments with their fans, while also navigating family issues, creating a lot of drama.
On this week's episode of RHONJ, Teresa's daughters stood up for their mother and expressed their concerns about their uncle and aunt, Joe and Melissa Gorga being a topic of conversation when they chose to not come to the wedding. The girls confessed to being done with the Gorgas.
Fans were left with mixed reactions. While some believed they did good by supporting and defending their mother, others slammed them for being involved in family drama.
The Bravo series completed its 13th season and was watched by its loyal fans, receiving a fair share of love and criticism. Teresa's daughters address their concerns on RHONJ Teresa Gets Married
Tonight's episode of RHONJ (Teresa Gets Married) saw the cast members attending Teresa and Louie's wedding. It was an extremely glamorous affair as it saw a lot of well-known guests alongside the couple's respective families. The decorations, dances and dresses only added to the glitz of the festivities.
The official synopsis of the episode reads:
"Days after the explosive Prohibition Party, Teresa and Louie prepare to celebrate the wedding of their dreams; with news of Melissa and Joe not attending, Teresa and her family make the best of the circumstances and celebrate with chosen family."
As Teresa and her daughters were in the dressing room, fellow RHONJ cast member Jennifer apologized to the former for playing a part in bringing up Melissa's rumor about her allegedly cheating on her husband Joe Gorga. She felt it was one of the reasons that the Gorgas didn't turn up today.
When Teresa's four daughters - Gia, 21, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12, heard about their uncle Joe Gorga being mentioned in the conversation, they were extremely upset. Gabriella noticed that they were talking about the Gorgas and in a confessional, said:
"I think it's unfair to my mom that people keep bringing up my uncle's name. I am worried that Jennifer is going to make my mom sad."
Eventually, Gabriella broke down and wanted no more of their uncle Joe Gorga mentioned in the conversation. In a confessional, Teresa also expressed how her daughters had it enough with Joe and Melissa in the past decade.
In a separate RHONJ scene, Gia was seen addressing her concerns about the Gorgas' absence stressing her mother out. In a confessional, she said:
"When I heard he (Joe Gorga) wasn't coming, I was just like..."Wow." At this point, it's like, you really did just completely burn the bridge..like, it's..it's over for everybody, including me and my sisters."
Fans react to Teresa's daughters supporting her on RHONJ
Fans took to social media to express their opinions. They felt that it was right of the daughters to defend, support and protect their mother. Check it out.
However, some fans were upset with the daughters being involved in family drama. They felt that it was unfair of them to have so much hate for Joe and Melissa when their mother was also involved in the drama. Check it out.
Season 13 of RHONJ was packed with a lot of drama throughout the past few months. The cast members navigated a number of issues and dealt with a lot of complicated dynamics. There is more to come as they will hash it all out in the reunion episode. Viewers will have to wait and see what's in store.
