When did Trippie Redd and Ayleks date? Internet reacts as former couple reunites at recent NYC hangout months after Coi Leray split

Earlier this week, Trippie Redd was seen hanging out with Ayleks, whom he dated in 2018. Ayleks shared glimpses of their outing on Instagram.

She initially posted photos from a supposed candlelight dinner with Trippie in Manhattan on her IG Stories. In another snap, tagged at Harlem, Ayleks filmed Trippie and a few other people waiting for food on the counter of an eatery.

Ayleks later shared a carousel post on her Instagram feed on Thursday, August 21, containing more snippets from their NYC day out. One of them was a selfie, capturing Trippie Redd leaning his head on Ayleks' shoulder. The last clip found the two gathered at the NYC subway with an apparent filming crew. Ayleks captioned her post:

Trippie Redd and Ayleks' reunion comes months after the Love Scars rapper's split with Coi Leray, with whom he shares a daughter, Miyoco. He briefly dated Coi in 2019 before they broke up on bad terms.

They rekindled their romance in August 2024, and Coi announced she was expecting her first child with Trippie in December. However, a month later in January, Coi and Trippie split for the 2nd time. Coi insinuated Trippie had cheated on her with one of his former girlfriends, supposedly, Ayleks.

Ayleks denied Coi's apparent accusations and fans' speculations about being a homewrecker. Regardless, her latest NYC hangout with Trippie Redd prompted strong reactions online.

Several people claimed Coi's doubts about Trippie cheating on her with Ayleks must have been right, after all. They further called Ayleks out for gaslighting Coi Leray.

A few others presaged that Trippie would get Ayleks pregnant and would likely leave her the same way he left Coi.

In January, Coi Leray posted cryptic Instagram Stories that spoke about the pain of being cheated on. Though she did not initially mention Trippie Redd had betrayed her trust, fans deduced that was the case.

Soon, fans came up with the theory that Trippie might have cheated on Coi with Ayleks. The accused her of breaking a happy family. Ayleks began responding to the comments. One particular comment where a netizen wrote Trippie's aesthetic matched hers, Ayleks flexed:

"Of course I am… that's why I'm his first love… but that don't mean for everybody to come attacking me LMAO. I can be the villain 2025 though, I'm down."

Responding to comments about her wrecking Coi Leray's "happy home", Ayleks wrote:

"Def didn't actually, but if a home was so happy, it wouldn't be ruined in my opinion. Hi."

Ayleks further shared screenshots of her text exchange with Coi Leray, where the latter called her a "loser" and insinuated she sold her body for sex. However, Ayleks defended herself and maintained her innocence, claiming she had not done anything to jeopardize Coi's relationship with Trippie Redd.

Coi Leray suggested in her messages to Ayleks that the latter knew the person Trippie actually cheated on her with. Shortly after the fiasco, another one of Trippie's ex girlfriends, Indyamarie, was also speculated to have been involved in Coi's heartbreak.
