On September 25, rapper 21 Savage took to Instagram to criticize fans who did not take Young Thug and YFN Lucci's reconciliation well. He wrote:

"Yall want n***as to beef forever then say they ain't appreciate they blessings if they get locked up for it. Shut yall bi*ch a*s up."

Young Thug and YFN Lucci's beef dates back to 2017 when they two got involved in a social media quarrel over legendary rapper Tupac Shakur. The feud continued in March 2019 when Thug said he would slap Lucci during an Instagram live. The two rappers have also dissed each other through their music over the years.

However, Thug and Lucci's reconcilation marks a major development in the Atlanta rap scene, as this is also indicative of the future of gang violence in the region. It is worth noting that Young Thug recently finished his trial for RICO charges, while Lucci is facing serious changes of murder. With their feud seemingly coming to an end, it could mean a more peaceful future for Atlanta's hip hop community.

On September 26, Young Thug and YFN Lucci officially ended their long-standing feud by appearing on each other's latest albums. Lucci featured in the track Whaddup Jesus in Thug's much-awaited album, Uy Scuti. This is his first studio album release since the end of the RICO trial.

Meanwhile, Thug also made an appearance on Lucci's song, Still Waiting, in his new album, Already Legend. In the lyrics, Thugger also paid a tribute to Lucci's mother, who testified in the RICO trial. He rapped:

"Lucci told me play it safe, you know all of the pigs home/She kept it so solid on the stand, shout-out to mom."

It all began in 2017, when Young Thug made a social media post about deceased hip hop icon, Tupac Shakur. He wrote:

"I dropped E.B.B.T.G. on 2PAC’S bday because I’m the #NewPac. I feel like I’m the thug he didn’t get to become."

Thug's comments came after the release of his 2017 EP, Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girls. YFN Lucci did not appreciate Thug calling himself the new Pac, and responded to him, which ignited the feud. He said Pac "never wore a dress", seemingly alluding to Thug posing in a dress for the cover of his 2016 mixtape, Jeffery.

Thugger retorted back once again, appearing to threaten to kill Lucci if not what he was doing for his mother. He urged the rapper to "be humble" or it could lead to a "deep sleep." Meanwhile, YFN Lucci also did not give up as he dropped the single Like Pac, further fuelling the beef.

In 2018, their beef died down temporarily as both rappers appeared on T.I's album, Dime Trap. However, Young Thug reignited the feud when he responded to some fans during an Instagram live in March 2019, claiming he would "slap the hell" out of YFN Lucci.

Lucci responded to it through social media, and his friend, Sauce Walka, also got involved in the beef at this time. He also mentioned Thug's wife, Jerrika Karlae, in an Instagram story, saying her husband "ain't nun." In his 2019 album, So Much Fun, Young Thug openly dissed YFN Lucci once again.

In an interview with FlyGuyDC on SiriusXM, Lucci revealed why he and Thug decided to bury the hatchet after years of beefing with each other. He said:

“First off, we been through a lot. Everybody lost people; we lost people. Most important sh*t, we lost our time. We had to be away from our family. So, coming home, it’s like, damn, what the hell can a n***a do to bro? We gone’ keep doing that sh*t and end up back in jail or one of our homies dead or one of us dead? Or we gone’ fix this sh*t and make this sh*t look good for the A?”

YFN Lucci added that he and Young Thug decided to collaborate irrespective of some people being happy while others being mad. It remains to be seen whether this new friendship continues to hold on despite the two rappers' past history.
