5 Storylines that can sprout from WWE Money in the bank

Though all the pay-per-views of WWE lays foundation for the future feuds, Money in the bank deserves special recognition as it is a pay-per-view that could easily change the landscape of the company due to the sheer importance of the matches that will take place. And with such big stakes comes big responsibilities for the WWE creative team to pull off something great for the road to Summerslam. The Money in the Bank pay-per-view is sure to shape up how the summers biggest event is going to look like. Since its one of the crucial periods of the year for WWE, here is a look at some of the storylines that could sprout out from Money in the bank and could potentially run all the way to SummerSlam.

#5 Paige unleashing the Anti-Diva

The way in which WWE has booked Paige in the main roster has drawn a lot of criticism from the WWE Universe. She was someone who established a great Anti-Diva character in NXT and WWE actually buried it when she got promoted.

However, Paige has started to show the signs of that anti-diva aggression recently and Money in the Bank could be the place where she unleashes the same.

She will be facing Naomi at the pay-per-view who has some friction with Cameron. If the Funkadactyls start to irritate Paige beyond an extent, the Divas champion is sure to react and possible take out the two proving that she is someone who can dominate the entire division.

#4 New life in the tag team division

After WrestleMania, the WWE Tag Team division has been going through some rough patches as there weren’t good credible tag teams with a backstory. However, at Money in the bank this situation could change.

Cody Rhodes picking up the Stardust character has given new life to the tag team. At the same time, the Wyatt Family and Usos look like teams around which the division could be rebuilt.

Wyatt Family winning the title would be equal to hitting the refresh button and with the Dust busters coming up, the tag team division as a whole can be improved to the core by the WWE creative if they manage to pull off the right result.

And putting Ascension into the mix also could make things more interesting as it adds another great team into the roster.

#3 Bray Wyatts journey to the other side

From the start of his career in the main roster, the company has given special attention to project Bray as a heel character. However, the heel run of Bray is becoming stale at the moment and WWE has to do something new for him.

The chances of Bray walking out of Money in the Bank are slim and this further weakens his character that has lost its entire aura.

On the other hand, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have been projected as strong challengers for the Tag title with the possibility of them winning it.

If this happens, Bray will look worse and also he could go up against his teammates with the jealousy as a motive. And like that Bray might be slowly becoming a singles wrestler or even a face unlike his current run.

#2 Seth Rollins out to end Dean Ambroses madness

When the Shield broke up, one thing which was sure to happen were the members having feuds between eachother. However, Dean Ambrose looks to be the only one who took the whole thing seriously.

He has been out to seek revenge for what Seth Rollins did while Rollins has been busy climbing the steps and Reigns trying to get absorbed into the main event scene.

However since Ambrose is involved in the match he is sure to make Rollins go crazy. Ambrose can drive Rollins to the limit so that he would react back and give the fans a great personal feud between the two rather than being a one sided affair as we are seeing now.

The two has all the resources to pull off a multi pay-per-view feud that could culminate in some kind of great gimmick match at SummerSlam.

#1 Roman Reigns and his rebel act against Authority

The only thing that was preventing the company from pushing Roman Reigns to the moon was his association with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. And now that it’s over, Reigns is all set to get the push of his life.

He has had a lot of friction with Hunter in the past and if rumors are right this is all set to be taken into a one on one ground after Money in the Bank. The company could either give the title to Reigns or Randy Orton so that Reigns could be pulled into the authority angle.

From there, he could just play out the rebel part which has been a successful character for so long. In the end, Hunter and Reigns could face in SummerSlam which has turned out into a dream match among the Internet fans.
