WWE is, as Vince McMahon chooses to put it, sports entertainment. And to be a WWE Champion in this field requires skills, dedication, discipline and most importantly- screen presence.A WWE champion is undeniably the man who carries the biggest prize of the company with him. He more or less becomes the face of the company. And quite undeniably, that face usually has to look conventionally good. It is also not uncharacteristic for these superstars to be looked as probable movie stars. They have the look, the body, the aura. Here are 10 WWE champions throughout history with Hollywood looks:

#1 Randy Orton

Randy-Orton.jpg (640360)

Randy Orton may have always remained second to John Cena in terms of the hierarchy in the WWE but his entire presence screams Hollywood. He’s got that brooding look in his eyes, the sharp jawline, the many tattoos on his arms, a great physique and he’s definitely an icon predominately depending on his tremendous screen presence. He’s been charming the audience since he was in his early twenties.

He became the Intercontinental Champion and joined Evolution and quickly became an arrogant, sleek and stylish heel. He’s been in the industry for so long, he’s a veteran by now. But at 35, he still has much time to grace us with his fabulous presence. Rather than being a tough guy, how about he plays a brooding detective in a thriller? Basically, be part of the gangster genre, more serious stuff. He’ll play a dark, menacing yet loving character pretty well, it seems.

#2 John Cena

Surely, whatever John Cena’s achieved in this business is based strictly of his hard work, discipline, never- give- up attitude and mic skills. But he’s been the official face of the company for so long and that won’t have been possible if he did not fit into the looks WWE was looking to represent them.

His shorts, bright T- Shirts may be subject to many jokes by his detractors but it’s undeniable how many fans he’s built up over the years who drool over his looks. He’s acted in a few films and made several appearances outside the WWE, and all of those things just come along when you’re that handsome.

#3 The Rock

How can we talk about Hollywood looks and not include the Hollywood star himself? Rock is undeniably the most successful WWE star to have transitioned into Hollywood. He’s also become one of the most successful stars in Hollywood. He’s a blockbuster as an action hero. all of his films, no matter if they’re more hyped than deserved or if they have nothing new, they perform pretty well.

He’s created his own undisputed place in Hollywood and just look at how different he looks from his last few days in the WWE in early 2000s to now. The difference is staggering.

#4 CM Punk

CM Punk is not heavily built as the protocol WWE guy has been over the years but brought something entirely new to the table. He may have baggy eyes and be entirely different from the face of the company, but his anti- hero- esque character or the way he played his character when he was a villain was quite appealing. He’s handsome but his most gifted attribute is the way he speaks and it’s not just his promos, just look at his interviews or anything else where he just has to speak.

He’ll be good at any dialogue put out for him from any Hollywood script.

And he may be quite versatile, he looks suitable to play a romantic hero or a villain or a serious character.

#5 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin can’t be your average romantic hero, he’s simply a badass and you know ho much the world loves a badass. He can kill you by just looking at you. He may not be the quintessential good guy, he just can’t but he’ll bring forth the menace, the intensity required off villains.

He’s done movies where he’s playing the stereotyped roles reserved for WWE superstars- being the muscle. But he can do so well, it seems, in much more layered characters. The Texas Rattlesnake can bring forth the tension, the anticipation required off a scene.

#6 Batista

Batista bid a fairytale- esqu goodbye to the WWE last yer and starred in one of the most successful films last year- The Guardians of The Galaxy. Now, he’s bagged a role in the James Bond franchise.Batista, undeniably, is having a great career for a former professional wrestler.

He’s got that great smile and the domineering physique which is a welcome sight in Hollywood. If you watched the Ruthless aggression era and saw Batista for the first time, you may have been just as shocked as some to know that he was older than Triple H, the leader of the stable.

Let’s all hope that his great journey in Hollywood continues.

#7 Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy, again, is an odd one out when it comes to the bulky, burly world of the WWE. He’s in that elite list of WWE Champions who are predominant high flyers. 2007 to 2009 saw the Hardy be at the peak of his WWE career, something unprecendented but very well deserved.

His face- paint, high energy, high- flying tactics are breathtaking and he represents that insane, chaotic energy and reminded many of a charcater like The Joker. He is not your action hero and that’s a welcome sight. He’s the boy next door, he’s like the skaterboy from Avril Lavigne’s song, he’s like the face of the youth.

#8 Triple H

Say whatever you want to about his physique or his reputation, Triple H may remind many of the superhero Thor. Actually, if he still had his long blond locks, he will still represent somebody larger than life. Triple H is more like a superhero in an alternate universe than a typical hero in the real world. His entire aura is that of someone larger than life.

Just look at his Wrestlemania entrances. It’s all about grandeur and just look at how ll of this just looks so right for the Game.

#9 Ric Flair

If you have to do it, do it with Flair.

Ric Flair represented the kind of heel who was too stylish and arrogant and yet did not look like the bulky, burly hypermasculine personas in the WWE. He had this whole air of eliteness about him. He turned more comical over the years, but that proud attitude was still ever present. That sets him apart and his wavy blond hair and his entire entrance with a robe, his strut and the WOOOO, all of this give him a grand aura.

He’s got power written all over him. He can play a millionaire, a billionaire or a powerful authority figure in Hollywood.

#10 Edge

Everything about Edge screams Rockstar. He’s got the glares, the robe, the long blond locks, the metal song for an entrance, the bumps from ladders through tables and chairs. He’s a born rockstar. Young, restless, thundering destruction. Whenever he was in the ring, he brought forth an uncanny, exhilarating energy. Even though he was the ultimate opportunistic, looking with those greedy eyes to capitalise on a moment and spear someone through, he looked convincing.

The style factor was always high when Edge was around. Add to that his sense of humor and ability to get the desired reaction- and there we have the recipe for a star.
