5 Ways in which WWE ruined the Wyatt Family

When the Wyatt family got their spot in the main roster, the WWE Universe knew that the faction was destined for big things in the business.Bray was someone who could give the best talkers a run for their money while Luke Harper came in with a plethora of experience to show. Though Erick Rowan had his limitations, he evolved to become a better wrestler over the course of his stay. The fans were firmly behind the creepy promos and unorthodox in ring action that these three bought even if they weren’t supposed to cheer the heels. However, despite all these, Wyatt Family is at the brink of losing the entire aura which they once had.If there were someone to blame for this fall it has to be the WWE and here is a look at what all they did that brought down the stock of Wyatt Family.

#5 Denying the tag team championship

Many fans in the WWE Universe wouldn’t go against the argument that Like Harper and Erick Rowan deserves to be tag team champions. They have been the most consistent team in the division alongside the Usos while all the other teams including Rhodes Brothers has botched here or there.

After a long wait, the WWE decided to give Wyatts a deserving shot at the titles but didn’t allow the championship to change hands.

Harper and Rowan went on to have a series of matches with the Usos and even managed to win some. However, when it came down to the important match, the creative denied the Wyatts the gold that they thoroughly deserved.

The tag team division and the current situation of the Wyatt family would’ve been entirely different if the company had let the duo win the championship at some point.

#4 The repetitive attacks

One of the trademarks of the Wyatt Family has been their attacks from nowhere. During the initial stage these were used to stamp what the family was all about and the fans were able to digest the attacks in such a way.

However, as time passed, the WWE failed to reduce the amount of similar attacks. The Wyatts now had an image of a stable which came out of nowhere to ruin matches.

The frequent attacks were a sign of weakness rather than building up the trio as monstrous figures. Being aligned with the Authority didn’t do anything good at this level since the Wyatts were nothing more than the puppets of Hunter and Stephanie.

This is something that the company should pull the plug on and make Wyatts look more courageous rather than cowardly.

#3 The point of being a Family

The best part about being a family is staying together. During the initial days, the company allowed all three members to be together but recently, Rowan and Harper has been kept away from Bray most of the time.

One might argue that this was to establish the duo as a credible tag team out of Bray’s shadows however; the absence of Bray’s aura ring side hurt them as a whole.

The new entrance music and theme wasn’t doing any good for Harper and Rowan. Bray was supposed to be the one that controlled the duo.

Splitting the team meant that Harper and Rowan was just another tag team which could’ve stood on their own to get their hands on the championship rather than being two freaks that only Bray could control.

#2 Not letting Bray back up his words

Bray is arguably the best talker in the current roster. His cryptic messages and promos has been a mainstay in WWE programming for some time now.

The message he gives is out of the world and often has made fans admire the talent that he possesses. However, there is a big difference between talking and doing. Back in the Attitude Era, Stone Cold made the crowd go wild with his words.

Austin however knew to back up these words by winning matches when it came down to that. Bray on the other hand, never really got the chance to do so.

He often ended up losing matches that he promised to win and slowly the fans started to see Bray as someone who couldn’t back up the words he spit out.

#1 The whole Cena feud

Any upcoming superstar would have been in a dream scenario if he was put into a feud with John Cena heading to WrestleMania. It was the same with Bray Wyatt.

He was coming off a great feud with Daniel Bryan and was expected to carry that tsunami of momentum when he stepped in between the ropes with Cena. The dream WrestleMania match ended up being an embarrassment for the eater of the worlds.

The two went on to have more matches but Bray never became the monster he was. Cena was simply the dominating superstar in the angle while Bray proved to be a high profile jobber ahead of Cena’s title reign.

Putting him in such a big feud so early into the career was something WWE shouldn’t have done in the first place and not giving him the suitable platform in the storyline scarred the entire prospect.
