WWE Night of Champions 2015: 5 Best Booking Decisions for the Pay-Per-view

Paige

Intriguing main-event for a PPV outside the ‘Big 4’WWE will be back with their usual dose of pay-per-view brilliance next week through Night of Champions. The importance of the show has skyrocketed after what went down in SummerSlam and Vince McMahon would be looking deliver a class act due to the same. SummerSlam was haunted with a lot of bad booking decisions and it is something that WWE should avoid at Night of Champions. From the matches that are added to the pay-per-view so far, there are some booking decision that WWE could pull off to make the show interesting. So here are those booking decisions that are sure to make Night of Champions a better outing for the fans.

#5 Paige turning on Charlotte

Paige

Charlotte will get her chance at the Divas Championship soon. She is determined to stop Nikki Bella from crossing AJ Lee's record, but the chances of the same happening at Monday Night Raw are unlikely. WWE will need a reason to stop Charlotte from getting the title and the best possible option that they have is Paige. Paige is brilliant when she is playing heel and if she turns against Charlotte on Monday Night, WWE could have a showdown between these two at Night of Champions.

Charlotte and Paige have great chemistry when it comes to big matches and Paige turning heel will be a fresh approach to the whole divas revolution.

#4 Wyatt Family\'s match ending in a no-contest

Wyatt family

Wyatt Family will face Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and a mystery partner at Night of Champions. There are a lot of names that are thrown into the mix to be the sixth man in the match with Baron Corbin and Erick Rowan being the frontrunners. Now, if WWE is going with Erick Rowan, then booking Wyatt Family as the winners would be the best booking decision. Braun Strowman would get a win under his belt through the same.

If WWE is going to use some new superstar instead of Rowan, then the best ending for the match would be a no contest. Both Braun Strowman and the new guy will be in a must-win situation at the pay-per-view making a botched ending the safest decision.

#3 Dudley Boyz winning the Tag Team titles

Team 3D

Dudley Boyz will be battling at Night of Champions for the Tag Team Championship. It will be their first WWE pay-per-view match in a long time and letting them win the same would be the best booking decision. Dudley Boyz getting the tag team titles would act as a motivation for other teams in the division.

WWE can keep the titles on the veterans for a long time while other teams would be trying desperately to get the gold. This in turn would be a great storyline and the team which finally defeats the Dudleys will go over pretty well. Also, WWE could set up a clash between the returning Usos and Dudley boyz with this storyline.

#2 Making it a mixed tag team match

Lana

Dolph Ziggler and Rusev fought in a singles match at SummerSlam. The match ended in a no contest due to interference from Lana and Summer Rae. WWE has booked a rematch for the same at Night of Champions, instead of going with a mixed tag team match. The problem with the singles match is that there is still a chance for interference. Two botched endings in a row is not what the fans would want so the safest thing for WWE is to book a mixed tag team bout.

It would also give the women some spotlight and who doesn’t love to see two girls engaged in a catfight? Lana’s wrist could be a problem but if WWE finds a way to overcome the same, it could work.

#1 Seth Rollins retaining Both Championships

The champ stays the champ

Seth Rollins will have to defend both the United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night Of Champions. He is capable of working two great matches on a single night but the concern here is about the climaxes of these matches. There are rumors which say Rollins is all set to drop the US title to Cena and then retain the WWE title against Sting.

This, however, would deplete the stock of Rollins. He has been getting a lot of criticism for being a bad champion and the only way in which WWE could kill off that image is by letting Rollins retain both the titles. And after all, Cena winning the title back from Rollins would make a lot of people unhappy.
