WWE RAW 12th May 2014- 5 Promising Developments

Some moments just leave us awestruck. The night started on a tame note but was followed by a spell binding performance by a diva and ended in a typically superb motion. The young array of superstars and divas of the company have really stood out since Wrestlemania 30. Here are the five promising moments for the near future.

#1 Whos afraid of Alicia Fox?

After months or maybe years, Alicia Fox’s character finally looked like something to care about. She gave arguably the best acting performance of the night. She has become one of the most underrated talents in the WWE. Her mat skills have improved incredibly and tonight she looked better than the Divas Champion. She actually took all the attention away from Paige with her terrific madness. She apparently ‘quit’ in a WWE App segment. If that is true then it’s a travesty. She actually made the audience take notice of the Divas Division. Or else it might the set up of Paige’s next feud for the title, which actually seems like the best option.

Fox is a woman who knows how to scream. Take Lessons, Brie Bella.

#2 More Divas Involvement

It seems Paige’s arrival has the Creative really thinking about the divas division. Until earlier two diva matches on Raw seemed to be a rarity but it has seen a change recently. The Total Divas seem to have their own space and then there seems to be the space for the predominantly wrestling diva. I wish Natalya was in the latter list but it just seems that she’ll be in the Total Divas foam for some time.

It’s not only NXT that has women have considerable screen time but with Paige and her matches, Total Divas, Emma, Layla and Stephanie McMahon seem to be making the audience take notice of an entirely different demographic.

#3 CRASH!!!

Adam Rose’s entrance was more energetic and closer to his NXT days. The dedication with which he plays his character is just plain awesome. Ray Leppan has become Adam Rose and there is nothing better for a gimmick than the full attention given to it by the person playing it. It’s nice to see his momentum growing on the way to Payback.

#4 Daniel Bryan\'s appeal

Daniel Bryan is not great on the mic but he comes across as a very humble guy. This is the very appeal that got him over with fans and gave rise to his underdog aura in a sea of superficiality in the WWE. His promo on raw about getting surgery on his neck was very effective. What followed later on was just okay, when Kane dragged an injured Bryan to the ramp. Brie Bella should stop acting or Stephanie McMahon should teach her how to act.

#5 The Unstoppables

They are the dependable and the unstoppable. Shield is way better than any three man or two man or any man alliance. They are great together and great apart. Just have them on the show and time seems to pass by in no time. They looked unstoppable tonight. Their opening segment was a bit of a bore but they ended the night on quite a breathless high. This seems to set up a Reigns- Triple h battle but if any individual Reigns match goes, he seriously needs some more time to work on working an individual 20 minute match just like Wyatt.
