WWE RAW 21st September 2015: 5 promising developments

Team PCB is no more.

Paige stole the showRaw was quite refreshing this week. Firstly, The Authority, thankfully, did not kick off Raw, the Wyatt Family did. Secondly, the divas finally have something entertaining going and that only makes hopes flying around that the Era of Charlotte is not going to disappoint.Seth Rollins continued being the champion continuously frustrated with whatever’s going around him. He has a lot of people riled up in his journey as THE champion. A lot of things happened on Raw that make things look great moving forward. Here are the 5 Promising Developments from the Night of Champions fallout episode of Monday Night Raw.

#1 Paige has her pipebomb moment

Team PCB is no more.

Well, it wasn’t nearly a shoot but all this while when she was giving interviews about warning Creative about some of their plans for the Divas Revolution or talking about the cons of this revolution, WWE had a plan and that plan was executed so, so well on Monday Night.

Charlotte and Ric Flair were genuinely emotional in their segment. The Championship was a proud moment for both father and daughter. And it works so well to lure the family audience of the WWE.

But Paige, she owned the entire segment by talking about how there is no such thing as a Divas Revolution. She had the usual diatribe about the Bellas being wherever they are because of who they were dating, Lana and Summer fighting over something irrelevant, Natalya being absent for so long, Lynch being the least relevant but mostly Charlotte getting where she was because of her famous dad.

Through it all Paige seemed like a lone wolf, a little conceited but still really cool. The swerve she made was spectacular.

#2 The textbook babyface

Charlotte has played her babyface role really well so far

Despite Paige being the showstopper of the segment, her tirade won’t have had the same impact if Charlotte and Ric Flair hadn’t had their emotional segment.

This was perfect for the kids, for the family audience of the WWE. This was great babyface work. This never dragged on and hopefully we won’t see it again since it will seem like a usual trope WWE will go for to get Charlotte over in some way but on this night it worked perfectly.

Also, it gives us a potentially great feud between Paige and the current divas champion. This may also trigger that the trios may break apart one by one.

#3 The marked man

Rollins is soon going to be on his own

Wow, this is what happens when you run your mouth again and again, week after week and make tons of enemies. The only people who’re with him, sort of, are Stephanie McMahon and Triple H and maybe Big Show.

Rollins displayed that frustration throughout the night. Despite Kane pulling out old tricks, the only reason to stay tuned is to see whatever’s going to happen to Rollins. Not much was even mentioned of his clean victory against Sting.

#4 The numbers game

The Strongest team

It’s interesting that WWE chose to begine Raw not with the standard Authority promo or Rollins promo but with the Wyatts coming down to the ring and their leader talking about grabbing the brass ring last night at NoC.

Reigns came out to remind that this was always between him and Wyatt until he got Harper and Strowman into the picture. They eventually fought, Ambrose came for the save and then Orton came to equal the battle.

But here’s some food for thought- Orton being a longtime alliance does not make sense. Maybe he’ll go away just like Jericho. Who’s the mystery partner can be an interesting gimmick.

#5 Big Show going to \'Suplex City\'

Big Show fights Brock Lesnar soon

So, Big Show is going face Brock Lesnar at the Madison Square Garden live show. So, to look strong he was booked to beat Cesaro clean.

But the only thing that makes Big Show seem interesting is the fact that he will be going to Suplex City. Again and again, hopefully. Now, who wouldn’t be in awe seeing Lesnar doing that to a giant. And how will Big Show take that assault? Interesting.
