Royal Rumble 2015: 5 Opponents for Daniel Bryan after the Pay-Per-View

The first good news of 2015 for the WWE fans came in the form of Daniel Bryan’s announcement. The former WWE World Champion announced that he would return at next year’s Royal Rumble which in turn changed the WWE landscape instantly.A return of this magnitude was just what the company needed in such a precarious situation and the next obvious question from everyone out there will be about the feuds Bryan will be involved in.There are a handful of mouthwatering prospects out there to book Bryan in as he could wrestle a top class match with even a mop. So here is a look at the best ones from the lot that could improve the company’s ticket sales in the Road to WrestleMania.

#5 Rusev

The reigning United States Champion is yet to be pinned or submitted. Daniel Bryan comes back into the WWE programming with a need of being booked strongly. Tie these two instances together, and we have a fool proof storyline in place.

Both Rusev and Lana have been getting under the skin of the WWE fans with all their Anti – American promos and there wouldn’t be a better person than Daniel Bryan (other than the dream Kurt Angle scenario) to shut him up.

Doing the unthinkable is what Bryan needs at the moment before he heads into bigger things. This need not be a long multi pay-per-view feud as this should only be used as a buffer for whatever the company has in store for Bryan.

#4 Triple H

Some might get bored with the repetitiveness of the Daniel Bryan – Triple H angle, but unlike the last time around, there would be a tsunami of emotions if these two lock horns in 2015.

Previously, it was all about Bryan’s journey to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Hunter constantly accused Bryan of being a B+ player and also tagged his long term injury as an after effect of this same quality lack.

With the flying goat returning to action, the first thing he needs to do is prove Hunter wrong. And there wouldn’t be a better place to settle the scores than in between the ropes. Also, the company could give complete freedom to both superstars since they don’t have to pull off double duty like WrestleMania 30.

#3 Seth Rollins

From a wrestling stand point, this would be heaven. Rollins and Daniel Bryan have had numerous battles in the past and almost everyone was top notch in terms of in ring action thanks to the enormous amount of talent that these two men have.

In the absence of Bryan, Rollins turned out to be the biggest heel in WWE which adds another good point in the column for this feud.

The Architect managed to successfully bring back the Authority into power this week even if it looked like a botch fest. The friction that Bryan has with Triple H and his pals is no secret and could be used as a platform to launch this angle.

#2 John Cena

WWE ruined their best opportunity to turn Cena heel at Raw. They could’ve easily made Cena bring back the Authority without someone threatening him which in turn would’ve given the company a whole lot of main stream attention all the way to WrestleMania.

That didn’t happen and Cena ended up looking like nothing more than a coward. However, there is still plenty of time. A Cena heel turn followed by a feud with Daniel Bryan will prove to be a great angle for the big daddy of them all.

Considering that Cena and Bryan only had one big match on Pay-Per-view, the excitement levels are going to be an all-time high as well. And of course, the company could let Cena lose now.

#1 Brock Lesnar

There was nothing wrong with the idea of Roman Reigns going against Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania. However, a Daniel Bryan – Brock Lesnar match would be even better.

We looked all set to witness the crowning of Reigns as the company’s new top babyface but all that plans came crashing down thanks to Bryan. The company could let Reigns grow a bit stronger now that Bryan is here and let the flying goat take centre stage.

At how things stand now, Bryan should slay the Beast at this year’s WrestleMania and retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that rightfully belongs to him. The fans who remember all those Kurt Angle – Brock Lesnar matches could easily imagine how good these two could be in between the ropes which in turn makes this feud a complete package.
