WWE SummerSlam 2015: 5 Superstars Who Will Shine at the pay-per-view

Charlotte

Lesnar has always done well at Summerslam since his returnThere aren’t many stages in the wrestling business where you could make a mark. There is only a handful and SummerSlam happens to be one among them. WWE will roll out this year’s edition of the pay-per-view in a matter of weeks and they will be looking to outclass all expectations.Currently, the company has added only one match to the pay-per-view but that could change drastically in the coming weeks. Despite the lack of knowledge about the match card, we could expect some superstars to come out all guns blazing at the pay-pay-view. And this list looks just at them. So here are the superstars who will shine at the 2015 SummerSlam.

#5 Divas Revolution

Charlotte

It is hard to pick out just one diva from the pack. All nine of them have the potential to shine at the pay-per-view and they are not going to have any trouble doing the same as well. The way in which WWE books these divas will be crucial. If it’s a nine diva tag team match, then it would be an opportunity for all nine divas to steal the show.

Otherwise, if it’s a singles match involving just three or two divas, then it opens the stage for them to shine. Either way, we are going to see a stand out performance from these girls and if WWE are high enough, we could see Eva Marie in the mix as well.

#4 Cesaro

Cesaro

Cesaro is currently enjoying a lot of momentum right now. He has been accepted as a full blown baby face and he would probably play the same role at SummerSlam. The most likely opponent for Cesaro at SummerSlam is Kevin Owens. The feud between the two has been exceptional so far and with some more work here and there, WWE could do wonders with it at the show.

Cesaro and Owens are extremely good workers inside the ring. With someone like Owens to complement him, Cesaro has all the ammunition he requires to push forward his current momentum. WWE just has to give him a strong booking and the rest will be history.

#3 Lana

Lana

WWE’s push for Lana has slowed down recently. The main reason for this is probably the absence of Dolph Ziggler. He was instrumental in the rise of Lana but since Ziggler was kept away from action due to other commitments, WWE had to force the Ravishing Russian to go at it alone. She has done her job well so far and would continue to do the same in the coming weeks.

At SummerSlam, WWE is going to give Lana a bigger role and it might be the turning point of her career. We could also expect a returning Dolph Ziggler, which in turn adds to the entire scenario.

#2 John Cena

John Cena

Michael Cole recently expressed his concerns about John Cena being present at SummerSlam. The nose injury he picked up at the hands of Seth Rollins was pretty nasty and on any other day, Cena would have sat out the next pay-per-view. But SummerSlam is not just any pay-per-view. It is the second biggest event in WWE’s career and they cannot pull it off without the star power of John Cena.

He might be out of television till then, but Cena is sure to make a triumphant return at SummerSlam. He will be treated as a returning warrior who wants to seek revenge on his foe that inflicted him with the injury.

#1 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar will go head to head with Undertaker at SummerSlam. It is a rematch too big for WrestleMania and WWE is going to invest a lot on this feud. There are two scenarios here. First, Lesnar could win. If he does the same, he would be seen as the most dominant superstar in WWE history since he conquered the Undertaker twice.

If he loses, then Lesnar has the ability to showcase his range. He could prove that his skills are not limited to playing a dominant monster and it could change the perception of fans. Lesnar will come out as a different man no matter what the result is.
