WWE Survivor Series 2015: Early match card predictions for the pay-per-view

Del Rio needs a new challenge to keep him busy

The Deadman seeks revengeHell in a Cell delivered on so many levels. The matches from the pay-per-view were top notch as standalone contests and some of them had interesting stories to tell as well. The success of Hell in a Cell, however, will add extra pressure on the shoulders of WWE. They now have the task of booking Survivor Series in their hands and fans will not be satisfied with anything less than a solid outing. The fact that it is the 25th anniversary of Undertaker’s WWE career adds extra expectations to the pay-per-view. A good match card would be the foundation for a successful show and here is the look at the possible matches that WWE might line up for their last major pay-per-view of the year.

#7 Alberto Del Rio vs. Neville (United States Championship)

Del Rio needs a new challenge to keep him busy

Alberto Del Rio made a solid return to the WWE at Hell in a Cell.

He became the first superstar to defeat Cena during the US Championship open challenge and it has really set the tone for his championship reign. We cannot expect Del Rio to run US Championship Open Challenges like Cena did, but we could expect him to indulge in some good old feuds.

The best contender for the US championship right now is Neville. He has been booked randomly for quite some time now and it would be great if he gets the limelight at Survivor Series. Del Rio will retain the title at the PPV for sure, but we can at least expect a great match if these two go at it.

#6 Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler

Tyler Breeze: A talent that should not be wasted

Tyler Breeze’s main roster career is yet to take off. His debut did not have the hype that WWE expected, but it would only be a matter of time before he wins over the WWE universe with his in-ring skills.

The best start for Breeze would be a win against Ziggler at Survivor Series. WWE has already sowed the seeds for the same and they are going to announce the match officially sooner or later.

Summer Rae will get a good role in the whole storyline as well. Hopefully, WWE will not mess up the situation and bury Breeze, as he is someone who deserves to get a good push.

#5 Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose (Intercontinental Championship)

Ambrose vs Owens is the way to go

Hell in a Cell saw Kevin Owens successfully defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ryback. It was a good win for Owens and he now has the task of pushing forward his reign.

There is a handful of names that could feud with him next, but the ideal choice would be Dean Ambrose. Ambrose is a dynamic performer just like Owens and if these two go head to head for the championship, it will surely raise the status of the title.

Ambrose might not walk away with the gold, but it could serve as a disguise for his rumored heel turn against Roman Reigns. The heel turn would take away the impact of the loss as well.

#4 Team New Day vs. Team Dudleys

New Day are too entertaining to be kept away

New Day is simply too awesome to be kept away from the Survivor Series pay-per-view. They are the reigning Tag Team champions and letting them get involved in a traditional elimination match would be a safe booking decision.

New Day already has three members and they could lure in Sheamus and Bad News Barrett as well to make it five. Dudleys, on the other hand, could have the likes of Ryback, Lucha Dragons or the Prime Time Players.

It would not be a match that will push forward any storyline, but it will serve the purpose of having a traditional match on the card along with some exciting wrestling.

#3 Charlotte vs. Paige vs. Nikki Bella (Divas Championship)

Triple Threat > Singles

Paige turned on Charlotte recently and will be looking to get her hands on the Divas Championship next.

Paige and Charlotte have the capability of pulling off a classic at the pay-per-view. However, the chances of WWE going with a singles match are low. They would probably have a triple threat involving Charlotte, Paige and Nikki Bella for the title with Charlotte or Paige being the potential winners.

After the performance she delivered at Hell in a Cell, Nikki deserves a spot in the Survivor Series card. If WWE does not book a Triple Threat bout, then they could have two separate divas matches, one between Paige and Charlotte and the other between Sasha Banks and Nikki for the No.1 Contenders spot.

#2 Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns (WWE Championship)

The story is simple

Roman Reigns was crowned as the new No.1 contender for the WWE World heavyweight Championship on Raw.

The Samoan Superman deserves his shot at the Architect and the intensity that they shared on Raw was great. It is a simple storyline. Rollins backstabbed Reigns when he was part of Shield and then Rollins went on to steal the WrestleMania moment of Reigns.

Reigns now seeks revenge and glory at Survivor Series. Apart from the main plot, there is also a subplot of Rollins trying to prove his worth as a heel champion. The win against Kane helped him and if he gets a clean one over Reigns, then the Title reign will be back on track.

The possible heel turn of Dean Ambrose is another expected booking decision for the match.

#1 Team Undertaker vs. Wyatt Family

Undertaker will get his revenge

Undertaker will be celebrating his 25th year in WWE when Survivor Series arrives. And with the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton out of action, WWE is sure to give him a strong booking at the pay-per-view.

Wyatt Family will be on the opposite side and Taker will have to find three partners to level the field. Kane is definitely going to be one name and WWE has a lot of options to pick the next two.

One would love to see Cesaro being one of those partners as the Swiss Superman deserves his spot in the main event scene. Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan or even the Rock could be the fourth member in the team.
