Bristol City Football Club is a professional football club based in Bristol, England. The club was founded in 1894 and they currently ply their trade in England's second division, the EFL Championship. Bristol has been playing their home games at Ashton Gate since 1904.
The club hasn't won a top flight crown but it did finish second in the 1906-07 season. In addition, they also reached the FA Cup final in 1909 where they ended as runners up.
The clubs plays their home games in their traditional red and white colours and they are nicknamed 'The Robins' due to a robin featuring on their club badge between 1976 and 1994.
The club's main rivals are Bristol Rovers, against whom they contest the Bristol Derby whereas they also lock horns with Cardiff City in the Severnside Derby.
The club currently finds itself in the top half of the EFL Championship table. Bristol City is managed at present by Lee Johnson.
