Norwich City Football Club is a professional football club based in Norwich, Norfolk, England. The club, founded in 1902, currently plays in the EFL Championship, which is the second tier of English football.
Norwich were promoted for the first time to the top flight in 1972 and though they haven't won a top flight title yet, they have finished third on one occasion (1993).
Since 1935, the club has been playing its home games at Carrow Road. Norwich has made the ground a fortress and enjoys massive home support at the stadium. The club has a long standing rivalry with Ipswich Town with whom they contest the East Anglian Derby.
Nicknamed the 'Canaries', Norwich sport a yellow and green home kit. The club's song, 'On the Ball, City', created in the 1890s, is the oldest chant in football and is sung with gusto at every Norwich game throughout the year.
