Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian recently condemned anti-semitic protests on the campus of Columbia University.

There have been widespread protests over the past five days at Columbia University due to the ongoing Israel-Gaza war. A video was posted online that showed some protesters expressing support for the October 7 attacks. In-person classes have been canceled as a result of the protests. The White House released a statement to denounce anti-semitic activities.

An excerpt from the White House statement:

“Calls for violence and physical intimidation targeting Jewish students and the Jewish community are blatantly antisemitic, unconscionable, and dangerous –they have absolutely no place on any college campus, or anywhere in the US.”

Ohanian reposted the White House Statement and criticized anti-semitism. He called anti-semitic chants "vile".

"The videos coming out of @Columbia are vile. Peaceful protest is an American right, but this anti-semitism ain't it. It was just as vile when it was the right chanting "Jews will not replace us" at UVA — now that it's coming from the left doesn't make it OK," Alexis Ohanian wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

He also shared the video of the protest and wrote:

"I know I'm not going to win any debate here, but this is an example of what I (& the WH) are talking about."

Ohanian further debunked the assessment that the place where the protests were taking place wasn't on Columbia University's campus.

"Before anyone else tells me "this isn't on campus" — I'm just gonna post here that 116th & Amsterdam is, in fact, essentially on campus," he continued.

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian speaks his mind on social media. He shares snippets from his life as a husband, dad, business person and sports team owner.

He recently shed light on the fact that track and field gets very little coverage from the sports media in the non-Olympic years.

Ohanian reposted a video of Gabby Thomas, track and field athlete, showing her hairstyle at the Team USA media summit. This led him to reflect that track and field gets no screen time except for the Olympics.

"Y'all ever notice how track is THE MOST EXCITING THING every 4 years during the Olympics and then basically disappears from media coverage?" Alexis Ohanian wrote on X(formerly Twitter) account.
