Serena Williams attends Drake's pre-Super Bowl party despite rapper's diss at her husband Alexis Ohanian

Serena Williams was among the guests who attended rapper Drake's exclusive pre-Super Bowl party on Friday night. The rapper had earlier revealed that he was using the show as practice for his upcoming tour and that he had only approved selected people to attend the gathering.

Williams' visit to Drake's party came as a surprise, seeing as the former tennis player's husband Alexis Ohanian does not share a healthy relationship with the rap star.

Drake, 36, released his album 'Her Loss,' last year. During his song 'Middle of the Ocean' from the album, the Canadian rapper took a dig at Ohanian. The controversial lyrics from the song read:

“Side bar Serena, your husband is a groupie, he claim we don’t got a problem but no boo it is like you comin’ for sushi. We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki"

In light of the dig, Ohanian posted a series of tweets where he admitted that it was his intention to be "the best groupie" for his wife Williams and daughter Olympia.

"The reason I stay winning is because I'm relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter," Ohanian wrote in his tweet, subtly hitting at Drake for his remarks.

Serena Williams herself was a point of attraction during the 2023 Super Bowl, starring in two ads during the enviable half-time commercial spot.

While there have been several rumors of Williams dating the Canadian back in the day, their connections have seemed to perish ever since the former married the American entrepreneur. Drake's presence at the All England Club in London during Williams' match, however, was a topic of intrigue among fans during that time.

Serena Williams reached the final of Wimbledon in 2018. She dropped just a single set in the first six rounds of the tournament. However, the American was denied the eighth Wimbledon title of her career as she suffered a loss against Germany's Angelique Kerber in straight sets (6-3, 6-3) in the summit clash.
