Coco Gauff's mother, Candi and father Corey, adorably rejoiced in their daughter's maiden French Open title win as she beat World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a three-set thriller in the final. The American was an epitome of composure as she ousted the Belarusian.
The match started off with Sabalenka taking an early 7-6(5) lead. However, she gradually started playing some lofty shots, which loosened her grip on the match. This eventually allowed Gauff to square up the match and snatch her maiden Grand Slam victory with a score of 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 on the Paris clay. The Belarusian ended up making a whopping 70 unforced errors throughout the match and was shattered on her loss at the final of a Major for the second time this season.
Coco Gauff was floored in disbelief of her win as she exclaimed "oh my god" to herself after Sabalenka hit a return out of the line. Her parents, who have been a constant source of support for the tennis star, jumped in joy and embraced each other, celebrating the 21-year-old's title win.
