Iga Swiatek continues her reign as the top-ranked player in this week's WTA rankings. Despite missing the Miami Open to recover from an injury, she kicked off a 53rd consecutive week as the World No. 1.

However, Swiatek's lead has been trimmed considerably. Prior to the start of the tournament, she led No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka by 3235 points, but the Belarusian now only trails by 2035 points.

Jessica Pegula (No. 3), Caroline Garcia (No. 4), Ons Jabeur (No. 5) and Coco Gauff (No. 6) all maintain their positions from the previous ranking update. Elena Rybakina is also a non-mover at No. 7.

The Kazakh had an opportunity to complete the "Sunshine Double" by winning the Miami Open, but lost to Petra Kvitova in the final. However, she's not defending too many points in the upcoming weeks, so a top-five debut is imminent.

Despite an early exit from the Miami Open, Daria Kasatkina remains steady at No. 8 in this week's WTA rankings. Maria Sakkari has moved up a spot to No. 9. Kvitova's triumph in Miami has helped the Czech re-enter the top 10.

The 33-year-old is back into the top 10 for the first time since September 2021. The Miami Open title was Kvitova's milestone 30th career title as well as her biggest since winning the Madrid Open in 2018.

Martina Trevisan and Anastasia Potapova's quarterfinal showings at the Miami Open have propelled them to new career high rankings. The former made her top-20 debut at No. 20, while the latter is currently up to No. 22.

Despite being sidelined due to an injury since the start of the season, Ajla Tomljanovic has also bagged a new career high for herself. The Australian moved up a spot to No. 32, surpassing her previous best ranking.

Following an early exit from the Miami Open, Elisabetta Cocciaretto competed in the San Luis Open, a WTA 125 event. The decision yielded rich dividends as she defeated Sara Errani to win the title and rose by five places to No. 44 this week, a new career milestone.

Varvara Gracheva put together an impressive string of results over the past month. After a runner-up finish at the ATX Open, she reached the fourth round at Indian Wells and Miami. She has moved up eight spots to No. 46 this week to crack the top 50 in the WTA rankings.
