Coachella officially ended their 2024 festival with "Weekend 2" in Idaho, California. Week 2 of the Music and Arts Festival saw many big names pull up to the desert to perform hit records from headliners like Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler the Creator to hyped performances from Lil Uzi Vert and Bleachers.

The complete line-up, along with the scheduled performances, was announced two weeks ago, which confirmed the various stages and times slots artists would be performing at the festival. The Music festival also added 'Quasar' to its list of stages which include:

  2. Outdoor Theatre
  3. Sonora
  4. Gobi
  5. Mojave
  6. Sahara
  7. Yuma

The entire festival was live-streamed on 'Chella's official YouTube channel for audiences across the globe to watch their favorite artists perform hit records on jaw-dropping sets.

We've recapped all the major events and highlights from Coachella's 2024 Weekend 2, which started last Friday, April 19.


Lana Del Rey brings out Camila Cabello during her headlining set

Although many fans speculated that Lana Del Rey would bring out Taylor Swift as a special guest during her live set, the singer instead surprised audiences by introducing Camila Cabello.

Cabello then performed her recent release I Luv It alongside Lana, who could be heard changing the lyrics to 'I Love You, I Love You, I Love You'.


Grimes humorously pokes fun at herself and her live set from last week

Grimes started her Weekend 2 set with a video that played for audiences that made fun of her live set from last week, which many online had called "disastrous".

She stated how her Week 2 - Day 2 performance was going to her "redemption set," after issuing an apology on social media last week, stating:

"I want to apologize for the technical issues with the show tonight... I will personally organize all the files next week. I will not let such a thing happen again."

Ice Spice and Coi Leray announce new music

Ice Spice performed at the "Sahara" from 8:30 - 9:00 pm, drawing fans into a performance incorporating some of her biggest and breakout hits like Munch (Feelin’ U) and In Ha Mood. Post her captivating performance, the screens behind the rapper flashed a message which read:

"Y2K album dropping soon."

Almost an hour later at the "Mojave" stage, Coi Leray was seen getting intimate with her crowd, explaining how she's "been going through a lot".

Coi stated how she wished to take out all her frustrations with a lively performance, during which she played songs like Players and No More Parties. She also announced plans to release a new song later this year.


Doja Cat brings out a T-rex animatronic during her Coachella set

Doja Cat's closing set for Coachella's main stage was one of the most captivating performances during Day 3 (Sunday) from the design of the stage to the choreography. The singer sported multiple wardrobes while also bringing out an animatronic T-rex during the performance of WYM Freestyle.


Diplo closed out Day 2's performance at Quasar

Diplo took the stage alongside Mau P at the Quasar stage on Sunday to a massive audience taking the attendees through a tracklist filled with EDM and funky dance music, receiving tons of praise online for their set.

As the 2024 Music and Arts Festival wraps up, Coachella has already announced they will start accepting pre-sale purchases for their 2025 Festival, on their website, from May 3 onwards.

The festival will return to the desert for two weekends in April next year, starting on Apr. 11, 2025.
