#5 AJ Styles

For an outside wrestler to join WWE from NJPW and make such an impact was nothing short of phenomenal. AJ Styles was a huge star from the moment he walked onto the stage at the Royal Rumble in 2016. The entire arena knew who he was and cheered their minds off for him.

Within eight months, Styles had beaten John Cena multiple times and won the WWE Championship. He was consistent in the ring and carried himself like a megastar out of it. Styles was so good that he was given a match against the chairman's son, Shane McMahon, at WrestleMania 33.

The Phenomenal One also enjoyed a mammoth reign as WWE Champion, spending over one year with the title. AJ Styles has delivered on most of the dream matches he was a part of. He is also the current Intercontinental Champion, raising the prestige of the "workhorse title" once again.

It is very rare that a wrestler with AJ Styles' background would become such a huge star in WWE. If not for his unbelievable in-ring talent or his role in making SmackDown Live must-see TV, AJ should be in the WWE Hall of Fame because of his performance in the Boneyard Match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.
