The men's Royal Rumble match is one that the WWE Universe looks forward to every year. The match, which is the highlight of the Royal Rumble show, has its share of quick, fast-paced action, opportunity to create new feuds, comedic segments, as well as the return of legends.

The winner of the match gets a shot at one of the two top titles in the promotion - the Universal title or the WWE title - at WrestleMania.

This year's Royal Rumble, which will be held on 27 January, 2020, and this year's men's Royal Rumble match could be even bigger, with the inclusion of more NXT stars.

A win at Royal Rumble can propel a Superstar's popularity and give him the big push that he needs going into WrestleMania. But, the wrong winner could also turn out to be a curse as the fans may not accept him, while potential storylines could also be hampered.

Let's take a look at 5 Superstars who should not win the men's 2020 Royal Rumble match.

#5 Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins finally turned heel in 2019, aligning with AOP on RAW, and is currently in a feud with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. Rollins won last year's men's Royal Rumble match - for the first time in his career.

He went on to challenge and defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35, winning the Universal title.

Rollins' Royal Rumble win at last year's show gave him great momentum heading into WrestleMania as the fans were fully on his side. But, this time around, fans dislike him, and it would enrage them even further if he won the Royal Rumble match.

Fans do not want to see yet another Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins match at WrestleMania, and if that does happen, we could potentially see both Superstars booed at the show.

#4 Randy Orton

Randy Orton is a WWE legend and one of the most important Superstars for the promotion over the last 15 years. The Apex Predator, who has won the Royal Rumble match twice in his career, is possibly in his final few years as an in-ring performer. And it seems like WWE want to give him one final shot at a top title.

According to recent reports, Orton is one of three Superstars who has been shortlisted to win the Royal Rumble match, with the other two being Kevin Owens and Cain Velasquez.

While it makes sense for Owens or Velasquez to win the Royal Rumble match as neither have been in the title picture for a long time, Orton doesn't have the momentum, and we have also seen an Orton vs Lesnar match in the past.

If WWE want to put Orton in a world title feud, they could probably enter him into a feud against the next person who holds the Universal Championship on RAW.

#3 Drew McIntyre

We all know how highly-rated Drew McIntyre is as a WWE Superstar in the eyes of Vince McMahon, so much so that there were rumblings that he would win a world title by the end of 2019. But that didn't quite happen.

A long feud with Roman Reigns and then a spell on the sidelines due to injury did not help him progress in 2019. A win for McIntyre in the Royal Rumble match could bring him back into the spotlight, but we aren't quite sure if this is the right time for him to get a massive push.

Firstly, he is still a heel and it will be interesting to see if WWE will want to turn him babyface anytime soon, to have a match with Lesnar at WrestleMania. McIntyre seems to work very well as a heel, but it seems that WWE can get the best out of him only if he's paired against a popular babyface.

He also does not seem to have any momentum coming into the Royal Rumble match, and it doesn't seem like the right idea to give him a push now.

#2 Braun Strowman

Like McIntyre, Braun Strowman was also predicted to do well in 2019, but he too had a mixed year, of sorts. The Monster Among Men won the RAW Tag Team title in 2019, which was the only gold that he had around his waist in the year.

He is yet to win a singles title in WWE, with his only other highlight of 2019 being the win in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35.

The SmackDown Superstar could be involved in a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental title on the Blue brand which could continue till WrestleMania.

While the prospect of Strowman facing his former Wyatt Family buddy Bray Wyatt "The Fiend" at WrestleMania 36 is exciting, all roads point to a potential match between Wyatt and Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows.

Strowman could possibly challenge for the WWE Championship after WrestleMania this year.

#1 King Corbin

One of the most hated Superstars in WWE currently is King Corbin, or Baron Corbin as he was previously known. Corbin has been a good heel, generating massive amounts of heat from the fans, be it on social media or in the ring.

He was the winner of the King of the Ring tournament last year, which was a surprise considering the likes of Chad Gable, Samoa Joe, and Ricochet were all in the last stages of the tournament and needed the push more than Corbin.

It seems that Vince McMahon and co. love Corbin's work and how effective he has been as a heel.

While the probability of Corbin winning the Rumble match is very low, WWE likes to pull off massive swerves to shock the audience which could very well happen here, making Corbin an even bigger heel.
